NBA Live '09/NBA 2K9 Kings
Well I've discovered since the real Kings suck that NBA Live is a great way to pretend they don't. I don't know if any of you have the game (or 2K9) but I figured we could talk about who has created the best Sacramento Kings roster.
The rules are:
the cap restrictions must be in effect.
modify cpu roster must be turned off.
only trades/signings that fit the cap and the cpu actually agrees to.
The games must be on the hardest level (it's superstar for Live)
It's a little childish I know, but I think this could be fun. If one of your players has a beast game, you can let us know here. If you make the playoffs, you can let us know here, and so on and so forth.
I'll start:
Eric Gordon/Bobby Jackson
Kevin Martin/Francisco Garcia/Cuttino Mobley/DJ Strawberry
Peja Stojakovic/Donte Greene
Jason Thompson/Hilton Armstrong
Hawes/Mikki Moore
Record: 38-16
Gordon is averaging 20/10 ast
Thompson: 18/9 rbs
Hawes: 14/11 rbs

Re: NBA Live '09/NBA 2K9 Kings
I would do this if I had an 360, but I dont. I should be getting one in a few weeks.
I have made some pretty crazy teams in past years.
I also played a game, in which I scored 435 points, 415(around there) with Joe Johnson. Pretty ridiculous I know...You ever have a game like that?

lol. it was 06 or 07, and some reason if you pump faked and went into the defender on 3 pointers, 9 out of 10 times you got the foul and the bucket. It was crazy.
Do you remember what trades you made to get the guys you got?

Re: NBA Live '09/NBA 2K9 Kings
I am pretty sure I traded a package around Miller for Gordon and Mobley LOL.
I traded Beno+ for Wally+
Then I traded Wally+ for Peja.
Kenny Thomas was traded pretty easily haha.
Gordon at PG is freaking amazing. He is the best player I have played with lol go figure.

How is 2k9? I've debated on getting it to do this exact thing but still on the fence for some reason.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.
That just happened.

I bought NBA Live 09, and it was meh, nothing good, but not bad...I'm going to buy 2K9 and see how it is, instead.

I don't need to trade anyone. I'm good enough with the Kings as they are in 2k9.
Pull up 3s with Hawes.. mid range game with thompson...
I like to play in online leagues.. well i used to.
I don't like using moore in the rotation though.
Here's a douby game winner against the lakers.

Re: NBA Live '09/NBA 2K9 Kings
I have one for NBA 2k9
PG: TJ Ford
SG: Ben Gordon
SF: Kevin Martin
PF: Amare Stoudemire
C: Spencer Hawes
Bench:
Rookie SF (82 overall)
Marcus Camby
Tyrus Thomas
Bobby Jackson
some other **** people
I know it's a little unrealistic but this is how I did it.
I trade Jason Thompson and Salmons to the Bulls for ben gordon and tyrus thomas.
Then I traded almost everyone on the kings besides Hawes and BJax for expirings then after sucking for one year and drafting a sick rookie small forward, I had so much cap room that I signed Amare, TJ Ford, and Marcus Camby all in one offseason.

^Thats my kind of team. Quick PG, good scorers on the wings, athletic PF, but I would think that Camby would start over Hawes..?

You have a 360? Does it cost money to be in one of those leagues?

Nice. I light it up with Douby; he's rated a 66 - so I'm able to surprise people with him. In my online league, he averages 13 minutes a game and he's averaging 10 PPG as my back up PG to Russel Westbrook.
I'm in a GM-type online league where we build our team and keep that team from 2K7 to 2K8 to 2K9 (this year) and etc..etc...we have full off seasons with free agents and a rookie draft. It's pretty well set up - I see that some of the guys in your league (AkaBalla2k & moreecemos) are in my league as well.
Check it out when you get a chance:

we use a separate forum to conduct our off-season since 2k doesn't have that implemented into online league yet:

The only thing that cost money is the xbox live subscription which allows you to play online with multiple video games. I think it's 6 bucks a month or you can pay upfront for a year for 50 bucks.

Re: NBA Live '09/NBA 2K9 Kings
So I just got done with Allstar weekend. Kings dominated the weekend for once.
Eric Gordon, Donte Greene, Jason Thompson, and Spencer Hawes were all in the rookie sophomore game. Rose was the MVP though.
Peja was in the 3 pt contest but he lost to Danny Granger.
Gordon and Thompson were in the allstar game, Gordon took home MVP.
Gordon also got rookie of the month two months in a row and is an MVP candidate.
Im 2nd overall under the Lakers.
My teams pretty boss.
