Well, Kaman was already out and not expected to return until sometime after the All-Star break. See, with Camby, you've to accept that he has a proneness for injuries. When he plays, he's one of the best blocking and rebounding centers in the league. But, when he's injured. He's seemingly out for a while.

Jo Jo also said that we were going to get Al Harrington, before we got KG and Ray Allen. He said that that move would 'put us over the top' and make the team a contender.

Everybody's after Camby, so its not much of a stretch to imagine Ainge working to put a feasible deal together - however discussing a player and actually closing in on a deal are two different things...Ainge likely WAS after Harrington a couple years ago as well - just because a trade doesn't happen doesn't mean it wasn't on the agenda.

That being said - Camby could well be moved for a package that consists primarily of salary savings - if there were substantial deals on the table for Camby, we'd know about a few of them already...I don't buy Cips statements about not being interested in trading Camby - they may or may not be a playoff team, but they have 3 bigs being paid like starters, so i'd imagine one would be gone considering how poorly this season went.

Boston would definately trade Scal and TA in a deal if they were going to get a big and a guard before the playoff roster cut-off, so that is plausible. Giddens is a talent that would be worth throwing in to snag Camby - a likely keeper through KG's contract years. Eddie House is the tough one to swallow as he's our veteran sniper off the bench. Even with Steph, I don't see Boston going with a 3 guard rotation of Rondo/Ray/Marbury - they will want House...so a House buy-out would seem to be a pre-requisite.

I do chalk this up to "unlikely" scenario because its a major move with minor parts being exchanged - not a "must have" for Clips at a 4 million savings for an All-Star big on a short-term deal...but it could happen...

I'll tell you this though - if Boston got Camby and Marbury, retained House and only gave up Scal and TA from the rotation players...Championship...

I think Danny has Starbaby locked up...that's why the Sam move.....He's missing the big man move. If it happens today via trade fine, if not he will try the waiver or maybe he's happy with what we have.... 8-)
