Good Draft New for Kings

Post#1 » by $mooth » Wed Feb 18, 2009 6:55 am

Well its never good to see a star out for the season but in our case it kinda is. T-mac being out for the season helps us because we have their pick and he is there best player.
now the rockets could fall out of the playoff race and we can have 2 lotto picks.
when we first traded with the rockets i was happy because i knew tmac or yao would eventually get hurt.
dont you miss when the kings vs. lakers meant somethin...

I'm pretty sure the pick is lotto protected.

It's lotto pretected. So they NEED to make the playoffs.

If the rockets do not make the playoffs and keep their pick, would we get the pick next year or no more?

if the pick has low protection in '10, I'd rather have it in '10, Artest is expiring and TMac is regressing.

If memory serves (and there's a good chance it doesn't), I think it might be top 10 protected in 2010, so we wouldn't want them to regress too much.

But it's also worth noting that T-Mac has been in and out of the lineup for them all year, and when in, has had a pretty dreadful year by his standards anyway. But now I really hope Phoenix makes a move to get worse so that Houston can stay in it. It may be better for the team to get the pick later, but I'm too impatient and immature to care. :)

It's top 15 from what I remember hearing. Still, like I said before the best thing to happen might be to get that pick next year if it has declining protection. That could be a huge trade chip. With that said, I think they still make the playoffs.

It's lotto. 100% sure. So we need them to get the 8th seed in the west!! That would be schweet.
