The Rules

Here's the deal - after each win, we'll have a player of the game thread. You post the top 3 performers (1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place). The top-3 vote-getters will receive points...

1st place = 3pts
2nd place = 2pts
3rd place = 1pt

At the end of the season, I'll tally up the point totals and put it into a thread. We should have a good idea of who was the most valuable player, at least according to Wizards fans. :D

The poll winner is for posterity only. It has no affect on the recorded winner. If you want your vote to count, post the top-3 performers.

Blatche: Wow, what a difference a mobile 7'0fter makes.
Critt: I'm starting to have a man crush on this kid.
James: Wow, hell hath frozen.

Blatche
Jamison
Butler

Strong game by Blatche, the Wizards were noticably the better team when he was on the floor, as inidcated by his +17. Good to have him back. All his haters need to realize his value and that he's only 22!

Jamison was solid and got off to a hot start.

It was a toss up between Butler and Crit for 3rd.

Wow, I'm surprised they won. When I turned it off at halftime they had just given up a big lead. In the part of the game that I saw it looked like Critt was a nice spark off the bench. I'll give it to him.

1st - J-Crit - Whenever he was in the game, he was effective (unlike the starting PG)
2nd - C-Butt - Finally cut down on the turnovers and had a very workmanlike game
3rd - Blatche - Turnover issues, but was a game-changer

AJ gets no love for the high turnovers that came at the worst times. He was the gasoline to the T-Wolves fire when they made their big run in the 2nd quarter.

Crit - he made things happen in the 4th.
AJ - high turnovers but it's hard to ignore the double double.
AB - pretty good game for someone who wasn't supposed to play.

Crit - great game for the kidd. He is going to be good for many years. You can see him catching 2nd gear now. We have needed a PG all season and now it looks like we have one. It's past time to start the kid. Nice to see him nail that outside shot in clutch time.

Blatche - man it was nice to see the kidd back on the floor. For all the bashers, don't hate because he hasn't lived up to what he can become. Consider who coached him his whole career and how few minutes he was on the floor. He has handles and a smooth stroke. Can't wait till we can finally move him to PF and some SF.

AJ - He filled it up and grabbed boards.

Blatche at small forward? LMFAO

He already turns the ball over too much with minimal usage. Imagine Blatche trying to bring the ball up against pressure....hell you might as well spot the other team points...

Crit
Blatch
Butler

Time to start the critter. James can occaisionally shoot the three well, but really he doesn't do anything else for us. Nice to have Blatche out there instead of DS at center. We become a completely different ball club with a useful big man out there (as much as I like McGee's potential, he still hurts us far more than he helps us most of the time.

Also Butler, Song, James, and McGuire were solid.

And then he had the nerve to say with a straight face something about turnover during his half time interview. I don't remember his exact words but they didn't include the word " I "

I was like... didn't you just turn the ball over trying to post up. :jawdrop:

But I do know this. This team has desperately needed a PG all year. When Crit was in running things, we looked a whole lot better then when he was out. When Blatche was in, same deal. God I can't wait to see McGee matures but as of right now, he has a lot to learn.

 :banghead:

News flash to peanut gallery. Blatche already bring the ball up the court sometimes and he does a great job doing it. But that wasn't what I was talking about when I said some SF. The PG has the primary job of bring it up last time I checked.

Blatche playing some SF isn't going to happen a lot and not likely very soon, but it will happen. We just need the right players on the team to allow it to happen. Give the kid another year or two. Right now, I mainly focused on him finally getting some burn at his natural possition... PF.

No **** the point guard brings the ball up -- that's why I said against a press, where the whole point of the defense is to make a non-ballhandler handle the ball. And Blatche is a non-ballhandler, regardless of what he thinks.

Anyway you cut it, Blatche would be a disaster at small forward. I'm not going to even bother discussing it.
