1. I love Devin Harris. This guy is probably the most talented scorer outside of Stephon Marbury that we've ever had at the 1. His speed has just destroyed people this season - and it's amazing that we have him... what a robbery the Dallas trade turned out to be, eh? Signed pretty cheap, too - we're paying him something like 32M$/4 I believe. He stays here barring a trade that brings in someone ridiculous - thinking Dwight (would never happen), not Amare.
2. Other keepers:
Mr. Lopez - has put together a very nice rookie season. He's not going to be a star, unlike some people on the interwebs have been saying, but a solid piece, and another example of excellent draft picks by the Nets in the last few years.
Yi - not there yet, but still pretty young. I don't think he'll ever be a starting caliber guy on a good team - my PF needs to be a bit more defensive and interior focused... but could see him coming in as a shooter / offense guy ala Kukoc in a year or two...
3. TRADE VC PLEASE!
While I predicted that we were going to suck at the start of the year, and was actually rooting for us to lose and get a good draft pick... I was pleasantly suprised by VC this year. Much better overall player than last season... he really lets Devin control the game, and that's a pretty mature thing... he's grown a lot since he left Toronto. However, at this point, by the time we're good, he will not be anywhere near his prime. Really hope we can move him... a young player / decent pick and cap space really all we need I'd think..
4. No LeBron, No Carmelo, No Wade.
but we DO have a chance at Bosh...
5. Doesn't seem like we're getting Amare, he's staying in Phoenix... which sucks, because a Lopez / Amare / Yi / VC / Harris lineup would be a really good team...

Hey Netsforever! Welcome back!!!
I agree with most of what you have said.
Yi like Kukoc isnt a bad comparison. I hope he is better. I say NO to a 2010 FA too. Dont need them. We have a good start with Harris, Lopez, and Yi. If we can pull a VC to Portland, we will add a few more young pieces. If we can get or trade up in this draft for a SG or Blake Griffin, We are set.

why is everyone obsessed with yi?? he will NEVER be a toni kukoc. hes at best a bench player that can hit a 3 every now and then. as for 2010 its pretty simple. trade for a big name NOW so in 2010 we have an attractive looking team instead of a 35 win team. i like the portland trade. ive said before we should keep vc but i think that deal can help us alot without missing vince too much. blake griffin is overrated, dont need him on this team. besides isnt he the projected #1 overall pick?

I mildly agree with that too. He is very smart and will probably be a solid NBA player, however, in terms of being a #1 pick, I see bust written all over him. Not that he won't be good, but I can't see him in his prime playing like a #1 draft pick.
Yi is the man though lol...thus I lost all credibility of my talk of Blake.
