This also means that it will be very hard for chicago to trade for Amare straight up, as gooden's expiring contract was a big piece of what the Suns would have wanted from them. I suppose a three-way trade is still possible, but I'm still holding out hope that he's wearing a Suns jersey come Friday...

I would say the Kings came out ahead. They get to move Miller who was taking away playing time from Hawes and Thompson, they move Salmons who needs the ball in his hands while they have Martin already and they also save money. Gooden comes off the books and Nocioni is a solid player and his contract goes down over time.

I think this move means that Chicago is not going to be trading for Amare

Pretty much. And there's less doubt that Amare will be moved at this point.

Amare was never going to Chicago for that garbage. No way they wanted that deal. I think the trade is a wash because it does not help either team that much. both suck anyways.
