Reading the article HMFFL posted got me thinking if there is something the Hawks could do the deadline. I know it's very unlikely, but I thought I would bring this up.
Hawks send out
Mike Bibby
Zaza Pachulia
Thomas Gardner (included or cut)
Hawks receive
Steve Blake
Brad Miller
Jerryd Bayless
Portland sends out
Steve Blake
Jerryd Bayless
Raef LaFrentz
Channing Frye
Sergio Rodriguez
Portland receives
Mike Bibby
John Salmons
Beno Udrih
Thomas Gardner (or he can be released)
Sacramento sends out
Brad Miller
John Salmons
Beno Udrih
Sacramento receives
Raef LaFrentz
Zaza Pachulia
Channing Frye
Sergio Rodriquez
Why?
Portland gets the veteran PG and the SF upgrades they've been seeking.
Sacramento gets the expiring deals they covet and a do-over on Udrih's deal.
Atlanta gets a front line upgrade without sacrificing Marvin. Blake fills void this season while Bayless gives G of future.
Why not?
Portland would have to absorb Udrih's deal. Lots of personnel changes for a team with their record.
Sacramento should have no objections at all on this one.
Atlanta takes a big risk by giving up Mike Bibby. Brad Miller isn't a perfect fit.

It's a risk for Portland and Atlanta to shake things up at this point in the season, but I think the deal itself helps both teams be more competitive come post-season.

Re: 3-way trade suggestion
I kinda like this deal, even though I think B. Miller is a great fit for the Hawks as long as we keep Bibby. Our P&R would be deadly cause Miller can stretch the floor. Now, It'd be a big gamble for the Hawks, but mainly the Blazers.
GO HAWKS.

Re: 3-way trade suggestion
Talking about Bibby to POR rumors, I was thinking that Blake would have to be included if Bayless is the main piece because Bayless at this point has not prove anything on his outside touch, and we know how important it is for ATL since Bibby is here. Blake provides it.
Compared to the trade I proposed on the other thread (Miller+Salmons for Marvin+Zaza+Speedy), we have Blake+Bayless instead of keeping Bibby, and keeping Marvin instead of getting Salmons.
Marvin+Bayless (and Blake) keeps the team younger than Bibby+Salmons, but what's the best once in post-season ?
EDIT: they are both (Miller and Salmons) traded to CHI for Gooden and Niocioni.

Right
But it's not that bad, just that if we end up not keeping Marvin, I will regret they did not get Miller and Salmons, especially if SAC offer Marvin a better contract... (right now, they can't unless they make another move).

That's a danger I hadn't considered. By my calculations they should be about 9M under the cap after draft pick holds (they have 2 firsts and 1 will be high), if they release Mikki Moore who is only partially guaranteed. I'm not sure they'll throw that money at a restricted SF right away, but if they get a top 3 pick it would probably be considered area of greatest need (a top 3 pick is likely to be Griffin at PF or Thabeet at C and they would be able to get PG of the future with the pick from the Rockets).
