Drafting....I must say IS Petrie's thing, but you can't build exclusively through the draft! It takes too long. Why not get Hinrich instead of Nocioni in this deal????

Yeah I would have preferred Hinrich

I have heard of the draft, but anyone who knows basketball that you can't draft your way into a winning team. With a pathetic roster who do they have to trade to get a big free agent? Webber was too talented and he would have found a home somewhere. If they didn't get Webber they never would have had the success and almost got a ring. When your team sucks losing your 2nd best player is not a good thing. I hope everyone is patient because this team is like the US economy and won't be coming back anytime soon.

The Spurs disagree w/ your assessment. As do the current Lakers, who win because they have Kobe--who they drafted.

And if Bulls didn't draft Michael Jordan they would have sucked. What the hell is your point?

Since the 2nd best player on a bad team usually isn't too good it's not a big deal.

Are you aware JT is our new CWebb but we drafted him? It is not true that you cannot rebuild through the draft . The Trailblazers did, Orlando did, the Spurs did, the Hornets did, the Maverick core was. We just didn't build through through the draft when the Maloofs came here and you cannot rebuild with picks when you are winning which we haven't the last couple of years. We will get a clutch PG and we are set. The Jazz sucked with Boozer and AK until the got they drafted a Deron Williams a PG to close games. Chris Paul and Derrick Rose are the quality of PG picks you get in the top 3 pick and those guys are like Bibby (a #3 pick himself). We are definitely going in the right direction. We needed a vet precense SF since Miller and Salmons were going out. Salmons was a SG not a SF and was more of a shooter, Noc is a Artest like defensive guy and great rebounder to help where we get killed on rebounding. We will resign the better of Gooden/Shelden and maybe Simmons is tougher than Hawes, worst case a backup C. The only thing we are missing is a PG with killer instinct and coach.

I see us making a playoff run next year with the right PG.

The Spurs are an exception.

The Bulls, Rockets, Heat, Lakers (Yes Shaq was a free agent and Gasol was acquired via TRADE), Celtics, Pistons, etc etc made at least one trade that made a serious impact to their respective franchise.

Don't tell me drafting ALL your players is a proven road map to success. Yes you may have to draft your most important piece, but ultimately either FA, trade, or both will need to be in effect.

I give up as a King's fan. We aren't winning anything within the next decade.
