I agree that Chandler stats don't tell the whole story but neither does Shelden's who gets no credit for being our best defesnive player. If you watched the Suns game and saw how well Shelden (and JT) played against Shaq and Amare while Hawes was missing in action. And again he is paid 1/4 of what Chandler makes to put up similar production. Shelden was the college defensive player of the year (scored as many points/rebounds and more blocks than JT) but we have no room for him because of our powerhouse lineup of JT and Hawes-Miller-Donte-Mikki-KT combo. Is he a #1? I don't know but now is the time to find out what he can do when we can resign him to $4-5mil a year for the same production of Chandler at $11.5 mil. If Hawes can develop into a stud center isn't banging against Shelden in practice better for everyone. Miller, Wallace and Hedo got tougher from banging against CWebb every day. Is the guy CWebb offensively not quite but he is better defensively, yes. I just think we shouldn't be stuck on stats with Shelden either at this point when Miller will be traded sometime this year.
