Are the Celtics interested in Calvin Booth?

Post#1 » by Larry Joe Bird » Thu Feb 19, 2009 6:21 pm

A rumor today claims that the Celtics have an interest in signing Calvin Booth if he is waived by the Kings.

The story is posted here and here

Excerpt: "The source added that if Booth is waived by Sacramento, the Celtics could be interested in signing him to fill their open roster spot. The 6-foot-11, 230-pounder played just one game for Minnesota this season, and has played sparingly as a backup center in recent seasons. Booth, however, has size and length that the Celtics need, as well as 10 years of NBA experience."

Jesus, I'd rather just see POB play if we're going to throw someone worthless out there, at least POB might learn from the experience.

Agreed...Booth has 10 yrs of experience...so what? He still sucks...

I'd rather keep POB and bring in someone else than have POB's future self in 10 yrs along with him...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Booth is decent! Or, well, he was in college. . I remember going to PSU games when he played and he was baller status then, haha. I mean. . .I'd welcome it for my own personal nostalgia but. . Really, there has to be a better option. . . Fortson? haha
