Who do you think should start at center for the Kings now? Drew Gooden or Spencer Hawes?

The big reason to move Miller was to clear space for Hawes. Starting Gooden is just pointless. Besides, Gooden has been out with a groin injury since Jan. 20th and it is unlikely he's going to be in playing condition any time soon.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Hawes times a million. Gooden is gone in a few months. No need to play to win. Play to get the young guys better. Gooden makes a good 6th man to spell JT or Spencer when either gets in foul trouble... This of course is when and if Gooden is able to play this year.

My main fear is that Gooden will push one of Hawes or Thompson out of the starting lineup. If he pushes anyone out it should be Thompson, Gooden is a PF, not a C.

Petrie has mentioned bringing Gooden here before. I just don't see what the big fuss is?

I wouldn't be surprised if Gooden performs really well, and if he's given 36 mpg I think he could realistically put up 18 ppg, 12 rpg type numbers. At that point we enter into Bonzi Wells part 2 and see what horrors come out of that. I've been a fan of Gooden as well for a long time, I really would like to see both he and Nocioni average starters minutes. I still think it's a long shot that Gooden is anything more than an expiring to this team, ultimately the draft will probably have the biggest say in things.

Is there a chance the Kings are not satisfied with Gooden's health and rescind the trade??

They traded for the expiring contract - not the player

In Chandler's case, there is a lot of future salary. Gooden is an expiring deal.

Good citizen
rebounds
scores in the paint
defends pretty well

Start Hawes and JT. Do not re-sign Gooden unless he signs a smaller deal.

Gooden used to be one of my favorite players when he first entered the league. He's probably the only player in the history of the NBA that has regressed since his rookie year. Compare videos of him in college to him now. He looks like a completely different player. I'd start Hawes and Thompson over him because they are younger and they need experience. Gooden had the potential of becoming a star in this league but never did anything with his talent. I've given up on him.

You forgot about Diogu also who averaged 20/9 in 3 years in college but got stuck behing Aldridge and Oden. So we will keep the best 1 or 2 out of all the new bigs to backup or draft a big with our Hou pick. Hawes and JT will need to start for the time being.

^No, diogu is trash. he got traded for frikin Ruffin. he won't see the floor. I think that the only players that will play the 4-5 will be hawes, thompson, gooden and moore. All the others might be around 10 min or less.

Traded out one bust big man in Shelden for two in Simmons and Diogu.
