Knicks make some nice moves

Post#1 » by Red2 » Thu Feb 19, 2009 8:06 pm

I like the Hughes deal and also the wilcox deal. They dumped a bunch of dead weight in James and Roberson and got some pieces they can use in Huges and Wilcox. Now if they can deal curry they will doing ok. Frankly with Huges on board I don't know why they don't trade Robinson. He is a ball hog who puts up a ton of shots and despite winning the slam dunk he will always be 4 feet tall. He's coming off a 31 point game plus the slam dunk so I doubt his value will ever be higher. You just don't win a title with a guy like that. If the knicks were part they'd dump jeffries as well. D'ANtoni and Walsh are slowly rebuilding this team into a run and gun team. Hughes doesn't show a high percentage but he's great in the open court and he has nice size for a 2 guard. I like this deal a lot for the knicks

I think those deals were nice. But keep in mind that they decided (or didn't get the deals off) to keep Lee and Robinson. Both guys will be RFA and maybe stay in NY. Maybe they hope to keep them on a QO basis for another year, but I can't believe that they would extend them.

I'd love to somehow get David Lee here in the next few years but I doubt we could get him from the Knicks...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
