The Brad Miller Appreciation Thread

Post#1 » by RoyalCourtJestr » Thu Feb 19, 2009 12:15 am

I choose to remember the young Brad, not the old one we've had for the past 2 years. I remember young Brad Miller when he signed, the Brad that dove on the floor night after night, the Brad that sank that three in the comeback against the Trailblazers (my first game I ever attended), then with fear and sweat on his face nailed that three the year against the Lakers when we beat them in overtime in Arco (Kenny Thomas' imfamous triple double.)

I'll choose to remember young Brad Miller as that last link to the glory days of past. The best of luck to him.

And I'll remember the Brad Miller that gave up. The lazy pot head, who seems like he didn't care the last couple years. He went to a personal favorite, to someone that would agitate me with his lack of hustle. No appretiation from me.

This is probably the worst feeling I have since the Bibby trade (Mike was my favorite player). Miller will always be remember with the elite Kings teams. The Divac/Miller center combo was awesome. Miller always has the desire to win. I'm going to miss you. I remember the three pointer over Kwame Brown to send the game to OT against the Lakers. And we won! Fun game. Thomas sh***ed on Walton with a triple double. Good luck Miller.

Miller is a tough guy, try going against Shaq and Amare with Mikki freaking Moore! Miller should be getting a medal of honor for carrying a team down 2 Hall of Famers the last 3 years, and filled with mostly less than 2 year NBA vets. And I have news for any young people you can't hustle every night if you are over 31 you have to pace yourself. Thank you for everything you gave Sacramento I appreciate all his toughness.

My favorite B-Miller moment was against the T-wolves in the playoffs. I remember Garnett was on the baseline looking at the basket, and miller had one hand out, then he just started rubbing KG's face. Garnett was PISSED and almost got a tech for it.

Brad, I haven't been your biggest fan, but thanks for your service and I wish you the best back in the Midwest!!!

GP sent Brad back to Chi-town, just 150 miles from Kendalville, his home town. When I think of Brad:
The sweet J
Crisp passes for assists
That lop sided country grin
Hard nosed competitior
Had the heart to go from undrafted to starting in the Association.

Best of luck Brad,

However, Miller will undoubtedly miss Sacramento.

"Definitely my first year here," Miller said of his favorite memory with the Kings. "Probably the first home game, to see it packed crazy, that was my favorite year of my entire life playing basketball in terms of how good the fans where. It's gonna be tough [crying] ... My daughter was born here in Sacs, so there's a lot people I'm going to miss and it's just tough."

Brad it was a pleasure to have you here in Sacramento. Ill miss our times in Chipotle we spent together.

I truly believe you were underrated every year here in Sac and I admire your desire to improve.
You were undrafted and became an allstar, you gained weight and seemed to be done (Muss year) but you turned it around and improved yet again. You WILL be missed!
