Well I am disappointed, just like several of you guys who posted in here.. But I wasn't surprised that nothing happened. This is the typical Danny Ferry.

Ferry messed up. All Phoenix wanted for Shaq was Wally and Sasha.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3918898

In a proposal first reported by The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer, Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic were offered to the Suns for O'Neal as part of the Cavs' well-chronicled quests to add one more big man for the playoffs and show LeBron that they will do anything necessary to win a championship.

Yet sources with knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com that, entering the final two hours before the deadline, neither team was optimistic about reaching an agreement.

It's believed that the Suns have pushed Cleveland to substitute Wally Szczerbiak's $13.8 million expiring contract for Wallace, which would result in the huge financial windfall that initially prompted Phoenix to make Amare Stoudemire and O'Neal available in trades earlier this month.

No matter how you slice it, Shaq is an upgrade over Ben and through this trade we would have had a frontcourt rotation of Z, AV, Hickson, Ben, Bron, and Shaq. Kinsey is better than Sasha IMO.

A Pavs and Wally for Shaq deal is a no brainer especially when considering that Wally sia dif he were to be traded, he'd request a buyout, and come right back to Cleveland. So ultimately it would have been Pavs for Shaq! That's a Gasol type trade!

All? LOL!

Shaq would have cost us $42 million next year.

Not to mention, we'd have a huge hole at the wing spot.

I think we make the finals but lose in 7 to LAL. We will end up as the #1 seed in the East and the winner of Boston/Orlando (I think Boston) will be gassed in the ECF.

Again, my biggest problem is that we had the most assets at the deadline and could not improve the team by getting another young scoring option to pair with LeBron, not that many were available. Also, the fact that we may see Andy, Sasha, Wally, and Snow leave for nothing will be very hard to swallow

I'm going to take the glass is half full approach. I'll trick myself into thinking we just re-traded for Delonte West since he'll be back Friday in Milwaukee. Ay I feel better already. Championship.

All I can say is even though we did not make a move, that means we did not overpay for something we do not need. We are fine baring no big injuries. I would still like to sign Joe Smith, however, if his contract is still bought out.

Of course "they" say he is going to Boston. Everyone wants to go to Boston. Or New York. Or LA. I hope Moore does go to Boston. Then if/when Smith is bought out he wont have a place there and come here.

Watching the C's right now....they are a well-oiled machine. I'd say the Cavs have about a 10% chance of beating them in the playoffs. They are much better than last year IMO, even without Posey.

Gotta love Wiz fans. They just hate the Cavs so much that they make up percentages to argue that we'd lose. I think that the Cavs 2 wins over the Nuggets are alot more impressive than Bostons loss and blowout against the same team especially considering that Denver is short handed tonght.
