Sign Jwill!

Post#1 » by durden_tyler » Fri Feb 20, 2009 7:04 am

With SSOL back, Shaq has to convince former Miami teammate Jason Williams to sign with the Phoenix Suns. He fits, and he can run with them and i believe can be a legit back up for 15 to 20 minutes.

Make it happen!

(Jwill just applied for reinstatement a few hours ago; he retired in the offseason)

If I recall he signed a one year contract with the clippers then retired 2 months later. I assume he would be unrestricted now and suns could sign him to a vet deal. My guess he will sign with the Heat though.

BUT, I wouldn't discount Shaq had anything to do with him returning, so let's see.....

Heat (and Magic) is a possibility because he's from Florida. But i wanted him to sign with a contender :D (Magic just landed Alston so too redundant)

And on a more selfish note, i just want to follow ONE team this season because i already have the Suns and Jwill's next team :D

Go Suns! (Make it happen!)

Our guys have played 50 games and are concerned with their conditioning for the new style...

And the vicious cycle repeats .... we go from countless threads about who we should trade ... right back to who we should sign.

I gotta fealin that RSarver is D O N E when it comes to personel changes. His ASS has been on display in a very unflattering way... Kerr'veball has baffooned it up on his dollar to often lately... so I figure he'll just sit back and let the boys run the year out, and hope for some play off revenue. Thats what matters to him.

Give credit where credit is due frank. Sarver has paid a lot of money for this team the past 5 years. Yes, he has made some bad moves, but not all is his fault. You have to applaid him for not making the clev deal that would have saived him 20 mil. He is not going to see that, especially form playoff revenue.

I think the suns will try to find a player that can backup shaq or nash. I am not conviced in tragic as our future or as our back.

JWill files reinstatement papers. Might want to return to Heat or Boston. He would be nice in PHX though.

Credit for spending money, blame for selling off our future.... They systematically emptied our cupboards of young assets to add to their coffers. No Cleve deal was made, and I am glad of that... but to appluad him for NOT displaying the behavior that has resulted in this mess is hardly an action I will partake in. Thats like thanking a felon for NOT comitting any more crimes.

He is still an ASSCLOWN and from what I have read, is not respected by his NBA peers. The hole he dug with his childish antics and irrational behavior is felt through out this entire organization, leaving our Front Orfice as a laugher in NBA land.

You think, they will try to find another player ??? Because we still do not have a back up PG ??? Because there are soooo many quality back ups out there ?? Nope... they have made their bed, and now they will toss and turn in it.

And look out for the fire sale come this off season. Check out our financials, then tell me how we add anyone of significant value, utilizing the grip tight money philosophy common to this psuedo ring chaser.

I am definitely on this bandwagon. I was very sad to see he had both signed with LAC and then retired. I think J-Will is PERFECT for the return to SSOL. Despite Dragic playing a little bit better, if we want to capitalize on our opportunities to win games and make some noise in the playoffs, I think J-Will could help us out a lot. Plus we wouldn't have to keep paying Sims to ride the pine. He seems like a great piece of insurance. If I'm not mistaken we could pay more than the vet min if needed as I think we only signed vet min contracts over the summer which should make all of our MLE available to spend...I'm not delusional to think we would spend all of it, or even most of it, but it would allow us to bid slightly more than teams that have already used their MLE.

JWill was getting out played by Chris Quinn last year! I don't know if he can help anyone.

I don't think Jwill was having any fun last year. He thrives in uptempo basketball where he has freedom to play how he loves to. Ever since he played for Hubie Brown his assist to turnover ratio got tons better but his falir for the game went way down, and while his overall numbers went up for the chamionship run, I neven saw him having much fun again out there like he did when he was in Sacramento. At one point his jersey was the highest selling jersey in the NBA, and it wasn't for his high a/t ratio, it was because hep ut on a great show and had fun doing it. This kid is perfect for SSOL. I like how Dragic has been playing, but ;lug Jwill into those minutes, and you might even by Nash more rest...

No question JWill was born to play Suns style of BB. With a Nash/JWill combo the headlines will be reading "Suns Gone Wild."

Return to Phoenix Suns
