Thunder To Waive Mo Sene

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Fri Feb 20, 2009 2:24 pm

After making two trades that bumped its roster to 16 players, the Thunder is expected to waive seldom-used reserve center Mo Sene, according to a league source with knowledge of the team’s plans. NBA teams are allowed to carry only 15 players, and the acquisition of Thabo Sefolosha and Malik Rose pushed the Thunder’s roster over the limit.

He's probably nothing, but he's tall, long, athletic and still just a kid. I'd be suprised if someone didn't give him a shot for the minimum.

I will be surprise if Sund doesn't sign him. Sure he is raw. He can be replacement for the bigs we lose this offseason and Sund took him 10th overall.

Since most of the late season free agency signings are due to familiarity to a team, player, coach or GM (in this case), he might be the one. I hope not because we need someone who can spend a few minutes on the court with size and judging from his history he'd be further down the bench than Randolph Morris. More likely someone gives him a shot next year at the minimum. I mean look at how long it took Diop to contribute in a game, maybe Sene will get it late too.

He's almost certainly worse than young Solo.

Some of you crack me up.

Have you even taken a look to see how he's done in the NBA? Have you watched him play?

Just because a guy is raw doesn't mean he's actually going to be good. They're called projects for a reason, and the Hawks DO NOT NEED ANOTHER PROJECT BIG MAN.

They need a veteran big man.
