I read an article that mentioned that Rafer was apparently quite the street basketball player in his youth. He could do all the tricks: dribble through his legs, dribble behind his back, you name it.

Lowry is pretty cool. Explosive on the fast break, very quick to get to the rim, and unlike Alston he can finish around the rim pretty well, excellent defender too.

Never doubt Morey, you guys should know this by now.

Play ground legend, Skip To My Lou, he does it sometimes during the game, looks pretty cool. One of my favorite times was game 22 of the winning streak, during the end of the game he started doing the fancy dribbling in front of Sasha who wouldn't back down.

Trusting Morey? We can actually have Ramon Sessions instead of Aaron Brooks. I'm not upset about Lowry. I wanted him when we traded Gay's right for Battier. I want him to be the backup PG, not starting. Right now Brooks and Lowry aren't good enough to be the starter. Since we aren't going anywhere, might as well let these two young PGs grow by playing more.

You've just described Von Wafer without the shooting ability. Tell me something about his court awareness. His passing? Handle?

Is Lowry even a PG? Or a combo guard who couldn't shoot?

He's a good player on the fast break from what I've seen, he's also an "Adelman" kind of PG from what I've read and seen, let's see what happens. This isn't a bad move, could turn out to be a good one, let's see. They might even be trying to turn Brooks into something like how Bibby was with the Kings?

I posted this on Clutchfans.

Kyle Lowry is an absolute defensive stud. He is top five among point guards in many defensive measure I like such as stop% (estimate of percentage of possessions that a player "stops", a stop being a turnover or a missed field goal), fouls drawn %, steal % (not top five but still up there), and adjust DRtg (A variation of DRtg created by Dean Oliver, estimated points allowed per 100 possessions, adjusted means that it assumes that the 4 other players are average defensive players so that players on bad defensive teams are not penalized). I might do a more detailed statistical analysis on Lowry's defensive prowess but I probably won't.

We just got significantly better, and should definitely not consider trading Scola or Laundry.

I watched/charted roughly 60 Memphis games last year. Trust when I say Lowry should be a good asset to this team.

Alston played for Milwaukee, Toronto, Miami, Houston, and Orlando
T-Mac played for Toronto, Orlando, and Houston
see some commonality in there?
i guess we are trading T-Mac to Miami then to Milwaukee for Redd in the off-season
