Pacers vs. Chicago - 2/22/09: Midwest Clash

Post#1 » by Miller4ever » Sun Feb 22, 2009 8:11 am

I will complete this, hopefully before the game starts. I forgot that Sunday games start at 12, which really screws with me. Discuss here, and I'll have a full gamethread up, even if it goes up in the 4th quarter.

I know, it's amazing. Jarrett Jack can't defend well. My League Pass is giving me the Chicago commentators, who are stupid. One of them said that Roy Hibbert wasn't an offensive player, and they are both being homers regarding offensive fouls.

Chicago might have the dumbest announcers yet...at least they aren't on Boston's level of homerism.

"Roy Hibbert can't make jump shots." and "Why are they going to Roy Hibbert...the guy has no offensive game at all."

Idiots....well, I take that back, the other one corrected him, only one is an idiot. Even the Bulls board confirmed the guy knows nothing about basketball.

We blew another big lead. We need to get some offense happening.

Wow, after Roy Hibbert missed a shot the announcer goes: "Wow, what happened to your guy with the amazing offensive arsenal?"

I asked the Bulls board about them, and they said all they do is badmouth every player on the other team all game long. They said neither of them know about basketball, but mainly the one guy who is just laying into Hibbert.

If you have WGN you may actually be able to watch the game on tv. Looks like Rush is back, so the injury isn't too bad.

It was funny following the game on the Bulls board...for a team with only two more wins than we have (one now...) they really have an inflated opinion of how good they are...you'd think Jordan and Pippen were still playing for them, lol...

Also funny--just a couple of years ago Hinrich was a god there...now they all curse his name. Sic Transit Gloria Mundi...

I didn't read it, but I don't blame them for being mad about them not beating us. We are missing our two best players, they just added two good players for nothing. If I were a Bulls fan, I would have expected a win too, for whatever reason TJ shut down Rose and Hinrich though.

Hey, I couldn;t watch this game but lookign at Rose and hinrichs field goal percentage 2/16, I gotta ask who on the Pacers is responsible for this?

I'm a huuge TJ fan, and believe he is a really good perimeter defender, just gets a bad rap because he's small and Leo Rautins (raptors commentator) had an agenda set out to make him look as bad he can on any possible play, to support Jose).

Was Tj just locked on them most the night? Was is Jack? Wish I saw the game.

I saw a little bit, and Derrick Rose made his shots on TJ.

You don't call the homeruns? It is a basketball game.

That's the first time I have used the green font. I don't like it. And why do they spell it colour time same crazy foreign land?

Actually, I'm down with calling them homeruns. It's the closest thing to professional baseball Indiana is going to get.

Yeah TJ was guarding Rose and Hinrich. Rose was trying to take advantage of the height mismatch with TJ but failed. TJ did a good job staying in front of him and played him in post up situations well to. And you're right about Leo underrating his defense, Leo was always looking for any flaw on TJ possible that he could exploit to make Jose seem superior to Ford.
