We should wive tony allen because he is taking up a roster spot and HE can't play because he is hurt.

Tony is out until april. The chances of him coming back and being a contribtor are small. If we need the roster spot to add a third player he is a prime candidate to go.

He counts $2.5 million against next years cap. He won't be cut.

Cfan, you indicated that you were upset by his play.

My point is Tony Allen is fine with this team if he was healthy. But, he isn't. Let's just move on. If he was healthy he stays. There are some money concerns however.

TA woulda had 20 today against the Suns...all off layups. Those guys can't defend AT ALL.

After today's no-show by Pruitt and House, anybody still think we should waive TA?

Didn't think so.
The leaks are real...the news is fake.

I still it'd be a good idea. It's not like PHX plays D so of course he would have had one of his good games. But what happens when we play a good defensive team and he does nothing.

I'm all for cutting him. Sign Starbury and Moore and then wait as long as possible and just sign whoever is the best option before March 1 (Hopefully Joe Smith).

I don't think we absolutely need a backup 3 necessarily. Everyone talks about the few minutes Pierce isn't when LeBron is but really who is going to be able to stop him? Obviously we want to keep Paul's minutes down but for that one series I think we can afford playing him whenever LeBron is in and sitting him when he's out. It's not like he doesn't play huge minutes even now. He sees a lot of 40+ minute games even when these games aren't as important.

Basically I hope for, and feel comfortable with a roster like this for the playoffs:

Perkins/Moore/Davis
Garnett/Smith/Powe
Pierce/Scalabrine
Allen/House
Rondo/Marbury

That gives us a lot of size for some of the bigger teams out there.
