Firefrank.com NY Daily News Article

Post#1 » by G_MoNeY » Thu Feb 14, 2008 6:44 pm

Wanted to post this article for everyone to see it. It didn't make it online, but I received 3 copies of the paper and scanned the article for those who wanted to see it. Again, thanks to everyone who has contributed to the site, hopefully this article will open the door for many more and allow management to be aware of it.

It's under the "Let's talk Frank" section...

I was reading some old threads(really old) and stumbled upon this.

You ever talk to Frank or anyone from the FO in regards to your site?

unfortunately no. I've tried numerous times to plug the site on yesnetwork, ask the announcers, through Al Iannazzone or Dave D'Alessandro. No luck on any of that. I'm keeping the site until Frank is gone though, you can be sure of that.

That will be the worst move Thorn could've ever made. This guy doesn't deserve anything esp. that $5 million/yr is very much above his capabilities.

If Thorn signs him again then maybe there could very well be something going on between them two.

more losses like this to the lowly Wizards and it's not out of the realm of possibility.

I agree though, unfortunately. Watch Thorn lock him up for the next decade because he's "such a great coach..."

The way I see it is this.

This year the Nets basically put together a whole new team, there's nothing to compare this team to record or otherwise, because of that Thorn is basically going to give Frank the entire season to set a standard for the team that will be used to gauge how he does next season (which I believe is the final year of his contract).

As much as we may not like some of the things Frank has done the Nets are still overachieving this season and there has been definite player growth.

Frank's like the nerdy kid in school everyone pushes around. He gets no respect, he is smart I have to give him that.

I agree Frank wont get fired this year. It is too late.

If this team starts off next year like it has started every year Frank has coached, dont be surprised to see they pull a Scott on Frank.
