It is an embarrassment to Utah, but it fits right in to the Provo Motiff.

exactly. down here, people love the old school 90's rap music. that and country/pop music. those 2 genres usually dominate the karaoke nights here in happy valley.

It's not anywhere near as much of an embarrassment to Utah ( I think that these two clowns could probably find people to pay money to see them perform anywhere) as it is that they are mining 20 year old retreads on stage. How hard-up are they that it is necessary to play Orem, Utah in 2009 to make a few bucks?

Having said that, the Eagles are playing Rio Tinto in May, and I'm thinking about buying tickets... :)

I thought last time Vanilla Ice played in Utah he got his ass beat by a bunch of straight edgers. Maybe that's why he's choosing Orem over SLC.

Please never say that again. You make Sir Mix A Lot look like Tupac saying stuff like that.

lol

back in my day, when i was attending grammar school, (both ways in the snow, mind you) we studied the counties of utah. we chanted them all in rhythm snapping our fingers. and the only lines i remember from that 4th grade year was "29 counties make this state........rap, rap, utah rap, yeah!"

i was having trouble thinking of a genre for those kind of entertainers, so i went with the default setting. what is it called now-a-days, sonny? ar-by's or hip-hop-anonymous?

wouldn't it be ironic if during their "concert," they both went with their newer stuff?

Newsweek article on this event. Now we can really answer the question the thread title asks.
