Feb. 23: Atlanta @ Utah

Post#1 » by JoshB914 » Mon Feb 23, 2009 11:46 pm

I just hope we get out of this road trip in one piece. I'd be shocked if we win in Salt Lake, even the best teams struggle to do that.

It would be a miracle to win in Utah tonight and i think Boozer might see his first action in 3 months which doesn't help. Joe better start to step up his game because he has just been downright awful for 2 months now.

I wish we could put together 4 strong quarters, but for some reason, Utah has not been a kind place for us to play for as long as at least since Sloan has been the coach.

The Hawks' last victory in Utah was 121-112 on Feb. 13, 1993. Ouch!

Ya, this is why I love the Hawks! They never cease to amaze me!

Sweet defense. Sweet effort. Jazz shooting 70 percent at halftime.

No surprise here. We aren't winning in Utah.

What a shot by Devin Harris to win the game for NJ tonight. That's one of the plays of the year.

Were not just losing though, were playing the worst defense ive honestly ever seen. Our offense is staticy, and I dont know why Al doesnt touch the ball more.
And ya that shot by Devin was amazing!

Where's Bibby?

Did he get injured or he just sucked?

Joe has 0 boards and 0 assists, Josh is 0-6 from the line (which is UNREAL), Al is 10-5-5 and shooting 5-8 from the field, and I wonder why Al doesnt touch the ball more often. Absolutely atrocious game by the Hawks once again!

That was such a WEAK freaking ejection call.

Smith got victimized because of JJ's previous hand to the face and Harpring's pussy reaction.

Absolute BS.

Guys it's clear we need a real coach in here. I'm so sick of seeing the same crap over and over again with this team. What a **** joke tonight! Can Woody put any fire in these guys? Joe Johnson has flat out sucked since Dec. and Josh Smith has the baseketball IQ of my 8yr old nephew probably worse. We have no offensive philosophy whatsoever. Look how good the Jazz offense is run where everyone is on the move and cutting and all we friggin do is go one on one everytime down the court with no real plays executed. This team is NOWHERE near a contender and i put money on it we lose the next 3 games. We will get blown out against the Nuggets and Cavs guaranteed. We can't beat anyone right now. I'm sick of this team right now. No heart whatsoever and Woody's dumbass just sits there. How can you come out of the half like that tonight with no fire to win the game!! And Nique needs to quit making excuse after excuse for this team. 'Oh well we just didn't come to play tonight and need to get ready for the next game" BLAH BLAH BLAH. What a joke!

This team is flat out stupid and we have the dumbest coach in the NBA. I'm sure Woody just sat Bibby for no reason.

LOL at this game!

The ONLY reason why we are in fourth place in the East...and not 8th or 9th....is the 6-0 start in November. That's the ONLY reason! I feel had the league not been generous and gave us that nice 8-9 game home stand in December, we would have slipped under .500...and Woody's probably fired as the HC right about now! I don't how Sund can move forward with Woody after this season....his chances have run out! Five years is more than ample time!

We need a coach to light a fire under Josh Smith's ass! A coach that's not gonna tolerate his silly on the court antics! You know, why is he shooting three's and long range 2's when he can't even shoot 70% from the foul line.....and that's a 15 foot unobstructed free shot! Seems like Joe's starting to give up...his body language speaks volumes....and why Woody benched Bibby tonight...beats the hell outta me!

The only way Woody keeps his job is if he gets out of the first round...and by us not signing a veteran big....we may be one and done this post-season.

The game was on NBA TV. So is the next one.

The Hawks are lucky the teams behind them are tanking too.

We need a coach that will light a fire under his ass! Since Al's been back, Josh has refused to box out period and we have been killed on the glass. As for his free throw shooting, I won't even go there.....

I also really with Joe would have a huge game, like 35+. Can't remember the last time I've seen that either.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
