Scal for 6th Star Award

Post#1 » by sully00 » Tue Feb 24, 2009 3:36 am

I am starting the Scal for 6th Star award on the Comcast Sports NE website.

http://newengland.comcastsportsnet.com/ ... tar-award/

I wanted this dude cut so we could keep Miles and all and all he has been great this season.

He has taken a ton of crap from the fans since he came here, some of it deserved, and he likely will again. But since he is playing well I thought it would be cool to give him some love. Put aside your man love for Leon or whoever else might be your binky and give it up for Big Bri.

Scal has been a poor man's James Posey this year---NO, REALLY....he's done a great job---we were really hurting when he was out earlier this month.

Scal has really been playing well. Too bad he got inured again. We will miss his spacing...

I agree on all counts - I thought they should have eaten his contract this offseason, I was horrified when they signed him in the first place...

But now this year, he's been everything Ainge thought he was when he signed him. Mainly because he's gained some confidence and is knocking down shots. He still screws up and turns it over too much, but he's a nice defender, he's been a solid guy off the bench all year.

And with just 2 years left on the contract, only minimally overpaid.

Hopefully Scal is alright cervical injuries can't be great especially following up a concussion.

The moment that describes Scal the best is when KG started hopping around on one leg, he totally reacts like a fan and not a guy who just had some playing time open up for him. As bad a moment as it was his reaction is something that has stuck with me.

Agreed, he has been really good. I was sad to see him get hurt again, and that was a SCARY moment when he was trying to get up off the floor...the guy needs to take care of himself and not rush back if he's not ready...a permanent head injury isn't worth it to play basketball, as much as he helps us...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

^Cervical refers to both the vertebrae as well as a cervix...in case you didn't know (not sure if you were kidding or not)... 8-)
