This team has some potential in the defensive department and we picked up a good starting point with Nocioni. Good game from him, love the hustle, he is exactly the kind of player we've been missing.

Oh yeah and Spencer already showing that Brad won't be missed.

I can't help but be envious of the Hornets. CP3 is beast, and our PG's.....well...they suck. I really do hope we get one in the draft.

I missed the game but it seems like Nocioni played well. And as well as Garcia/Martin/Hawes.

At least we showed effort and determination of getting the W, right?

No but it has more to do with an understanding of the game and playing within yourself than offense. You just try really hard and play good defense, and that seems to be the common perception. On offense you're running set plays and you know typically how your teammates are going to respond on the given plays, and are used to working with them in that way. On defense it's a whole different ball game, and that's why while defense isn't as reliant on pure talent, it's more reliant on intelligence, focus, and knowledge. All of these things aren't as reliant on a given skill defensively necessarily (although things like timing and lateral quickness really are skills/talents), but it's also not the kind of thing anybody can just do if they really want to.

Ehh, I mean Nocioni's infectious hustle (if it does turn out to be that) helps, and he'll make some nice plays, but he's still not nearly the defender Salmons is.

Best 4th quarter of KMart's career. Superstar performance. Just couldn't stop the CP3-CHANDLER connection.

I'm off to buy a Nocioni jersey as well

Chris Paul is a machine.

Can't get too worked up over this loss. We looked like kids out there while Paul and Chandler were playing their game (well mostly b/c of Paul), but looking at the lineup we had out there (Noc our second tallest player), the outcome shouldn't surprise.

Nice to see Kev somewhat "take over a game" when it counted. Too bad a guard on the other side was doing it a little bit better.

He is better big SF defender like Artest, Salmons was great against guards but not SFs. Also JT killed us with his foul trouble and and Hawes inexperience on defense also showed. There is no way if we want to be serious contenders for the playoffs when we draft a rookie PG and not have only one of JT/Hawes start with one of the vets. The interior defense is just too bad with so much youth.

By the way if you want to know how bad the Sooners really are and Blake Griffin really is only good big guy there, the leading rebounder on his team without him had 6 rebounds while Cole Alrich had 20 rebounds against his scrub squad.

We did not handle the Hornets pick and roll at all. CP3 was great creating his own space and he looked like he was playing at half speed.

Love him as a player, hate him as a contract.

So far, he's had one bad game and one good game. However, if JT wasn't in foul trouble most of the game, I don't think he would have got the same numbers. We'll see how the rest of the season goes. Either way, I don't like him because of his contract and because he'll continue to take away minutes from Greene.

Like I said before he officially came here, if you factor in mpg in relation to his previous production, he is well worth his contract. We'll see where it goes from here but I think we have our SF. He fits all of the criteria. Defense? Check. Toughness? Check. Spot shooting? Check. 3 point threat? Check. Rebounding? Check. He has his flaws for sure, but he is a perfect fit for this team.

Every other play sounds about right. It's probably when the Hornets are on the defensive end he often times gives a little yell to make sure those guys are alert defensively. He's very vocal on the defensive end.

Totally agreed.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.
