Mikki Moore, the free-agent center who has been pursued by a handful of teams since he was waived by the Sacramento Kings Thursday, has decided to sign with the Celtics, according to his agent, Mark Bartelstein.

Hate me for saying this, but Moore might be a better fit for this team than Joe Smith.

If it were Moore on Cleveland last year hitting jumpshots, we would all be clamoring for him.

Great value here for this guy on a min. deal.

Just gives us another option. You can't teach height.

We won't be asking him to do too much. Box out and hit open jumpers.

He's nothing special but it's worth a shot.

Great...Im happy, after Mutombo he is only the second pf/c which we had an option to get. And if Joe Smith wont get buyout it looks he would the the only option.

As I stated in other thread, I like he is a fighter,energy guy, being in nbdl, undrafted, he will appreciate the opportunity, has pride and will give everything.

Now to Marbury... :pray:

Moore supposedly is on the west coast and will meet the team in LA. I bet he will play, especially if they hold Scalabrine out.

side note: Though he played briefly in 3 games for the Celtics in 2003, Mikki Moore is still looking for his first points in green.
