I disagree on the runnning back spots, it's got to be between Pinner and Mewelde. They are the same type of back, I would think they would want to keep Fason just for change of pace.

The other thing about this is I completely agree on Safety. Greg Blue is a younger version of Tank and if he going to be a backup anyways, a younger prsospect makes more sense here.

Interesting they think Nance beats out McMullen, but I have no beef there. I just want, like they do, to make sure Lowber makes the practice squad.
"Dude, all I am saying is we already have a starting RB, his name is Chester Taylor. Besides AP isn't that good anyways. I hope we draft McFadden." --Me after he broke the record.

I think they keep all five safety. Put them all on special teams.

I completely disagree here, and I'm not sure two backs could be much more different. Pinner is a north-south runner with good size and decent speed. He's basically a bigger version of Fason. Mewelde is shifty, an excellent pass catcher, and undersized. He's the change of pace back, not Fason. I really haven't been impressed by anything Fason's done in a Vikings uniform, he doesn't run with much power, isn't all that quick or fast, and doesn't seem to have great vision. He's on the same level with Pinner, where neither of them has really proven they deserve a consistent role in a backfield. Mewelde's a rung or two up the ladder from them. He's probably not starter material, but he's a valuable player that seems to do something positive every time they see the field.

I agree with the rest of your post, but I'd actually like to see Nance make it over McMullen. Nance has some decent upside, he's worth rolling the dice on.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

I have heard the rumor of the 5 safeties. Using them for special teams. I have also heard we might try to trade Tank for a vet LB for depth.

I completely agree to disagree about Memo. MeMo is safe on this roster. He is a change of pace guy. He is also a playmaker that seems to put up yards in multiple ways.

I like Fason alot. I had a sig of him even. But with AD being here we dont need to develop a young guy. Chilly has a man crush on Pinner so I expect to see Fason gone.

I am gonna be completely honest here, I was in Iraq during most of the Vikes regular season last year... from what I saw Pinner looked in the games I saw, like somewhat of a scat back. Now if I remember right, he had a 100 yard game last year? I didn't see it, that probably would have been the best example at what type of back he is. What I saw was all situational. I'll take your word on him being a north-south runner. If that's the case, I say we drop both Fason and Moore... I see no point in keeping so many backs. Peterson and Taylor will get most of the carries, Moore won't touch the ball unless he's on kicioffs/punts. I like Pinner as our third back, Richardson in Emergencies. That way we can keep the 5th safety if we want, maybe keep the 4th QB or an extra DT as well. Too many middle of the road backs that won't touch the field and won't help the team at all.

Mewelde won't be and shouldn't be cut. And he is an awesome punt returner.
