No Josh Smith tonight.

Mike Bibby has the flu and might sit this one out as well.

well, unless we decide to play differently than we have the last 3 or 4 games, that shouldnt matter too much. Bulls beat us with 7 available players, bucks beat us without bogut and redd, and the celtics....well i dont really want to talk about that.

if bibby and smith are out, there's no reason we shouldn't win this game. nuggets NEED to pull it together here and they can if they start remembering how they played before this 3 week road trip.

Karl is the dumbest coach in the nba. He really think Carter can guard and shut down anyone

Great scorers really take it as disrespect to put somebody of his size on them. They go ISO and just shoot right over top of him. Just torch him

Meanwhile you have somebody like Balkman who has size, long arms and can guard but cant see time of day

Jones foul a lot. But it woulda be a better choice to put him on Johnson. Karl need to stop playing this dumb favoritism game. He costing us games

Now THAT was comedy at its finest. Wow. Anthony Carter chucking a 3 was priceless. Maybe the worst win in NBA history.

Anybody wanting to make some money should put everything they have on the Lakers to cover on Friday. I don't care what the spread is, they will cover.

Man, Petro is such a balla.

Karl really needs to open his eyes. JR hits back to back 3s in the clutch, then gets taken out for the "defensive stud" (AC), who almost costs us the game on the offensive end. Karl really thinks AC can shut down anyone, and it's **** ridiculous.

I think we all know what kind of a coach Karl really is. Putting AC on Johnson and putting him in for " defensive purposes ". I think he had 3 straight turnovers in the 4th quarter. Also, our transition defense is not existing. Guys are not stopping the ball, guys are running away so they don't get dunked on. Just horrible.

I saw the realgm wire headline: "Carter: I'm playing terrible basketball" and I almost thought it might be our Carter. That would just be the admission of the century.

I think Nene is such a glue big man and we just can't rely on this Nene-less team as much as we could early in the season. There's something exciting about him playing, but if he's out and everyone plays defense like this....and there is no cap room left.....yeah, I love Kenyon but he is a power forward. Petro is showing some nice possibilities. Andersen is great but I still worry about him being exposed in a big game (ie Lakers this Friday).

I think think we need some basic size and rebounding. Just a couple guys that can put up a stop sign that cutters can run into.

I think I understand what you are saying. When both Kenyon and Nene play together, our defense is great. Once one of them is out, it's back to being terrible. DenverPost is reporting that Nene will try to play on Friday vs the Lakers. That would be huge.

Whew, I thought Atlanta was going to score for sure on that last possession. Good thing Joe Johnson decided to pass.

We need Nene.

Yeah, and our guys have to work too hard for nothing in return. When Nene is in, it makes everything easier. If we have to play every game 110+ points, expending every drop of energy on defense that doesn't work, will we have anything left for the playoffs? I would rather see these guys start winning games 100-90, scores like that. Obviously the big guys are strained.

Like Chauncey said before the game, they can't over-react, but they can't under-react either. You got to box out, you got to get rebounds, but you also got to secure the ball and make good passes so that effort doesn't go wasted.

Nene with his size and FG% helps big time with that. His hands are great under the basket.

QFT!

Up by 14 in the fourth at home, you can't let the game come down to the last shoot. If the Hawks were smarter with their timeouts, I'm certain they would have won that game. Thats not gonna fly against the Lakers, better figure something out by Friday or we could be looking at another blow out loss at home.

Return to Denver Nuggets
