I'd rather have LJ and Smith.

everyone has been, in my opinion, overhyping LJ getting overused last year equating to him not producing this year. Herm loves running and defense and I don't see that changing. LJ is just now getting into camp which is a good thing in that he has had time to rest but a bad thing in that it might take a bit longer to get adjusted

He had 460 Touches last season. He had 369 Touches the season before.

829 Touches in 2 seasons never bodes well for anyone.

Even LdT's production in 2004 dropped off After having 800+ Touches in 2 previous seasons.

he's still going to get a lot of touches. That won't change. Probably not as many as last year but Kansas City is a running team and with a new quarterback in town (a rookie at that) I'm anticipating LJ to be involved in the passing game with a lot of dump offs as well. He started playing football at a late age and doesn't have as much wear and tear on him as people make it out to.

I want Antonio Gates. The team that I am trying to trade with is lacking depth at the WR position.
He has: colston, ronald curry, randy moss, vincent jackson, drew bennett

Which TE and WR combo should I offer him?

LJ smith or Randy McMichael
and either:
reggie brown, braylon edwards, or Joey Galloway

Are any of those even enough?

Thanks!

Shady that might not be enough to get the job done. What team is he a fan of? That might help put the trade over the top if you could offer a Steelers fan S. Holmes in addition to LJ or Randy, but frankly if I'm him I still don't take the deal.

thanks. we'll see what he responds with. On another note...what is adrian peterson's or brandon jackson's worth? Can either of them be had for one of my WR's? I need a young guy to replace shaun alexander after this year in my 1 player keeper league.

allright I'm in a 14 team league, pretty deep. My current starting lineup is as such

Cutler
TO
Hines Ward
Joey Galloway
Larry Johnson
Edge
Greg Olsen
Ahman Green
Stover
New England

I have Rex Grossman and Jeff Garcia at QB on the bench.

I was just proposed Jason Witten and JaMarcus Russell for Devin Hester and Jeff Garcia.

I think I should do this deal because Olsen is no sure thing and I wouldn't be losing any starters only to true up my TE position. We get 1 point for every reception so it'd be nice ot have a sure thing even though I think Olsen may have a big year. Hester will never start for me because we get no points for return yards. What do you guys think? He already has Winslow at TE and that's why he'd be gettin rid of Witten. I know Russell brings nothing to the table at all but that's not realy why I'd do this trade. Is Garcia primed for a big year? I still think he's 3rd for me behind Cutler and Grossman. Does olsen instill enough confidence in you to leave him as my only TE rather than giving up garcia/hester? I have no backup TE's either. The only FA's are Stevens, Wrightster, A. Smith.

i think torry holt for steve smith is a wash there both top 5 WR's. I would prolly take Holt but it's all personall opinion. What do you think of my post above on the trade. Also, what about a Jay Cutler/Ahman Green for Carson Palmer trade? My roster is a few posts above

I would have to insert Lamont Jordan as my W/R if I did that trade

Ok guys, normally I wouldn't ask for advice on a trade offer, but here is the deal that was proposed to me in my fantasy league:

I get:
Larry Johnson
DeAngelo Willaims
Jerry Porter (will be cut in favor of Mike Furrey)

I trade
Donovan McNabb
Reggie Brown
Brandon Jacobs

My current roster is
QB: Brees/McNabb
WR: Boldin/Coles/Brown/Reggie Willaims
RB: Addai/Jacobs/White
TE: L.J. Smith
K: Brown/Hanson
DEF: San Diego/Denver

So what are the thoughts of some of the veteran posters and veteran fantasy players?

I say that it is a good deal for you but it really all depends on what positions you have to play each week? How many WR's, RB's, QB's to effectively answer your question. What do you think of my trad3e above?

You take it and you run.

You already have Brees so giving up McNabb shouldn't be much of a concern.

LJ does have the whole curse of 400 thing that worries me, but anytime you can get a great RB, for a backup QB, you take it and you run.

i currently have greg olsen as my starting TE should I trade Devin Hester and Jeff Garcia for Jason Witten to true up that position? I think Olsen will be great but it may take half a season or the whole season for it to happen.

Does your league count return yards as a stat?

thats why I'm thinking Hester isn't going to be valuable because as of right now he's not yet reliable to make many catches as he is giong to be a decoy in a lot of his value. I already have TO, Hines Ward, Galloway and some other depth at the WR position along with two other quarterbacks ahead of Garcia so basically I'd be trading two players I wouldn't be playing for a starting TE.

If return yards don't count... Why are you even thinking about it? Take that deal and run.
