Tough week for Jerry Sloan

Loses Larry Miller and now both Van Lier and Red Kerr on the same day.

Kerr briefly coached Sloan and later announced the championship games between the Jazz and the Bulls. Van Lier and Sloan were pretty inseparable as players for the Bulls.

That's three losses to folks he's known anywhere from 25 to 40 years. Tough week for Sloan.

It's been a tough week, but he's been through tougher. When he lost his wife, that was prob the toughest time for him. just my guess.

Coach has a thick skin yet by all accounts he's a very human guy. Hopefully he'll manage it he right way, doing what's he does best: honoring worthy friends by good old hard work.
