Chris Canty is in Washington too and I believe he will also be a Redskin.

Snyder has a vault in his office that he opens during the first day of free agency.

I don't understand how the Redskins keep shelling out money like this Cap-wise...
Maybe they co-ordinate their signings with back-loaded contracts one year vs front-loaded contracts in another? Maybe they're signing in proportion to salary cap growth? They must be hedging these contracts with some other contracts or something to come up with cap space like this consistently every year...
Though... I guess 7 Years and $41 in Guaranteed is just about right, and I guess he won't see the majority of that non-guaranteed money...

the redskins spend and spend, and have been for years, yet they have nothing to show for it.

it's not about how much you spend in FA, it's how you draft and develop players, and how little you spend to sure up areas of need.

Everyone knows you need to co-ordinate spending with in-system development.

I'm still curious as to how Washington is able to dole out seemingly high guaranteed money numbers year after year to a number of players.

Highly doubt Haynesworth plays out that entire contract, but for the first four years, he'll be worth it. Glad he's out of the division, that's for sure.

He's only 27. If he has 4 productive years, that's good enough. My only worry is that fans will expect him to get 8 sacks a game. While the sacks are good, it'd be even better if he can stuff the run and put consistent pressure on the QB. That's all I want.
