Steph 14 minutes 8 pts. (4-6 FG), 2 Assists, 3 TO's
Glen Davis 18 pts. (6-12 FG, 6-9 FT), 2 Rebounds, 2 Assists, 1 Steal, 1 Block
Paul Pierce 16 pts. (6-13 FG, 2-2 FT), 2 Rebounds, 2 Assists, 1 TO, 1 Block
Rajon Rondo 3 pts. (1-7 FG), 17 Assists, 4 Rebounds, 1 TO, 3 Fouls
Leon Powe 14 pts. (5-7 FG, 4-7 FT), 6 Rebounds, 2 Assists, 1 Block, 3 Fouls END EDITXXX

No Kg, Stephs first game, not pretty but a win, who gets it, Ray with the game leading 30, Rondo with the 17 assists, Marbury with his...ok well maybe not but he played well. Davis was huge down the stretch powe played well too, who gets it, i vote for ray tonight over rondo, since even though rondo had 17 assists he only made 1 shot all night.

Where's Perk?! My vote goes for Perk. Best game he's had in a while.

Have to go with Ray. Davis and Powe also had a great game.

I also though Marbury played very well. He makes our bench so much better it is ridiculous!

Rondo was pretty bad again. Sure he had 17 assists but he wasn`t aggressive enough. When he is walking the ball up the court, when he doesn`t bring energy, we just don`t play good basketball.

I am also worried about Moore. He is SOFT. I don`t think he will play much in the playoffs...

It's because he didn't punish a defense he played against all night once and instead of hitting easy jumpers forced the burden on his teammates to make medium difficulty jumpers.

If Rondo had knock down some shots, forced one of the Pacers to respect him, then that set up a motion for easy shots and a Celtic lead by the starters.. he would of got many many votes.

Sometimes stats just don't tell the story. And tonight, Rondo's greatness of 17 assists overshadow too much the burden he put on this teammates with his 1-8 no drives to the hoop game.

Also, his attempted defense on Ford didn't seem to accomplish much.

Although I voted for Ray,

I think that without Steph tonight,

the Celtics don't win.

Steph gave the team a win tonight, in my book.

14 minutes, 8 points (4-6 FG), 2 Assists, 3 TO

Steve Blake got 14 assists in a quarter - you going to pencil him in as the Blazer's starting PG for the next 5 years?

Marbury was just... wow. When he gets back in game shape, anything less then 30 mpg is doing Celtics fans a huge disservice. Pierce and Ray are going to go off when the opposing team is actually going to have to guard the Point.

And if i haven't made clear the complete 180 I pulled on Marbury after one game in green...

I'm the only one to vote for Rondo? I figured it'd be between him and Ray. Why does Marbury have so much? Rondo had 17 assists, thats pretty impressive.

Rondo had a good game in terms of finding guys for shots even though he struggled with his own offense.

This one goes to Ray though- clearly the best player on the floor tonight, made a lot of tough shots in the 4th.

Ray ray.

Marbury brought the energy into the building though.

It is very hard to give one victory cigar to this type of team. We need a box of cigars.

Marbury is PERFECT for this team, he did absolutely everything right.. a step slow occasionally on D, but that will come.

Very impressed

Had to go with Ray Allen.

Nice game from Marbury, if he can play this way the team is going to be just fine.

Ray Allen!!!!!

But it was good to see Marbury have a positive effort to match his positive mindset....

They pieced together this win despite sub-par performances from some of the rest.....

I'm trying to think of the last time I've seen a worse play than when the hustleing Foster stripped Perk under the basket and laid it in nearing the end....

And then Rondo's tip to an unsuspecting Pierce under the Pacers basket near the end of the game for another turnover almost caused me to have another coronary!....point is some of them seemed to be sleepwalking last night....hope they snap out of that style of sloppy play for Sunday's game! :o

Easily Ray Allen.

Nice to see Marbury playing well though.

The Foster strip really pissed me off too, and I wasn't even really mad at Perk. Rondo made little attempt to come to the ball and was too busy trying to get a play call from Doc to even realize it happened. I blame Doc and Rondo, as Perk is a big and not to be asked to dribble the ball out of pressure like that. Rondo's lack of aggression was VERY frustrating. He got assists, but never seemed like it was because of his great playmaking but more because guys made a lot of tough shots, especially Ray. I don't recall a single time where Rondo took it to the basket and looked to finish himself.

Starbury....He played great in his first game back. Though without Ray, we don't win.

Return to Boston Celtics
