For Pierce, growing up...

"Magic" Johnson, Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Clyde Drexler and Charles Barkley.

For me...

Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Kevin Johnson, Scottie Pippen and Reggie Lewis.

For active players...

Jason Kidd, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Dirk Nowitzki and Allen Iverson.

I would've liked to have watched Cousy. Isn't he one of the first improvisational passers?

Favourite Celtics:

These two are the reason I became a Celtic fan 20 odd years ago:
Reggie Lewis
Dee Brown

Paul Pierce
Larry Bird
Robert Parish

Honourable Mentions:

Al Jefferson, even if he left too early.
I was a big real big Rick Fox fan but going to the Lakers knocked him down a few pegs. I loved his two way game.
I would have loved to have had Xavier McDaniel earlier in his career.

A few random favourite non-Celtics:

Charles Barkley
Antonio Davis (when he was with Indiana)
Dominique Wilkins
Chris Jackson/Mahmood Abdul Rauf (spelling)
Mitch Richmond
Walt Williams
Derek Harper

Growing Up:
Sabonis, Bird, Jordan, Magic Johnson, Kareem

Now (active players):
Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Wade, CP3, Durant
Who would win one-on-one in HORSE?

Bird: Nobody beats me in H-O-R-S-E. Besides, Magic cant shoot.

Magic: Larry, you'd have no chance against me one-on-one. I've got too many ways to beat you. Plus, as slow as I am, I'm still faster than you.

He was the master of ball handling in his timeframe IMO... (as much as I remember of him)...behind the back passes on the break for easy layups..

I only saw him a few times in person...(no TV too much back then)...

Listened to all the Celtic games on radio though, thanks to Johnnie Most... "high above courtside"

It was a very different time...

So when you went to the Boston Garden as a young kid, it was really a big deal!

My fondest memories were of seeing an NBA doubleheader... thats right... two games for the price of one....got to see Russel take on Wilt in the feature! :)
