Do you think Celtics should sign him?

Yes...with Joe Smith going to Clev apparently---but I think he'll end up in San Antonio

Pass, Garnett will be back, Davis is pushing to stay in the starting lineup, and we have Powe and Moore as the 4th big off the bench.

I still think the Celtics could use someone off the bench, especially a center/power forward or maybe a small forward who can play solid defense and score points in the paint.

Correct me if I am wrong, but can (or will) the Celtics sign a player on waivers who is too good to pass up or are they committed to stay with their current group?

No, Dude is banged up as is. He probably won't even be able to play in the playoffs.

Unless Danny Ainge can find a defensive minded SF who can score a little bit (someone like Posey for example) then I wouldn't add anyone else. The Celtics need help at the 3 spot.

Gooden is a solid 6'10 PF. I believe he can help Celtics a lot.

if he's healthy---but we're gonna have a hard time integrating the pieces we just got--let alone another one.

Now if we find out that Scal is done for the year---Gooden would fit nicely.

Swift...cut Pruit, sign Swift...he would be excellent for a few minutes on Lebron in sf position...I think with his length, speed and shot blocking he could stay with him...10 minutes a game, just defense, enough

Do it

You guys don't want Gooden. He's not a team player by any means and can't defend.

his mother was ill and died, which basically put him in deep depression from what ive read

although, they said his practicing recently was due to get him a call up to the active roster

i agree that even just for size's sake he might be good to throw at Bron for 5 minutes, but he was never a good defender especially on someone that quick

Earlier in the season i might have picked him up, but he wouldnt get any run.. and we just got 2 new guys

meanwhile, hopefully Gooden goes to the spurs, anything to help them against LA

but he is better than mikki moore...
