We desperately needed him on the defensive side of the ball. Even on offense, Zaza made two stupid fouls almost consecutively by setting an illegal pick. It seems like Smith has stepped up for his when we needed him this year on defense. I'm not sure what Woodson was thinking there.

I'm still completely mind-boggled that anyone can blame Zaza for anything that happened in that game. He had six offensive rebounds in limited action and was the only one who could put up any resistance against Big Z. That was the best game he's played in ages. He and Flip were our unsung heroes last night.

Skyhawk - your thoughts? Something about shutting my dirty ugly mouth? Or perhaps my mom's dirty stinking mouth? (don't let me down) :D

When Horford would get switched onto Ilgauskaus the Cavs were looking to exploit that matchup. I would have thought that they would do the same when Zaza was matched up on him but it just didn't look to be happening.

By the way- this is the major problem with Horford at center. Until he can use his quickness advantage to exploit slower defenders then there will just be a lot of matchups where the other team can exploit an advantage on offense where Horford can't take advantage of it the other direction.

Anyone else surprised that the Cavs wouldn't look to post up Lebron when Joe was matched up on him?

Lebron's quickness advantage over JJ is much greater than his strength advantage. I don't think Lebron is that comfortable in the post anyway.
