Pacer Post of the Month - February 2009
Can a mod please lock the other thread, people wouldn't say who they voted for and it became a different discussion, its much easier to just kinda start over here.
Vote for who you think contributed the most during the month of February, M4E can not be voted for as he won last time.
I'm voting for Grang33r.

Easily TJFIG. I can't believe we have to post for these now. really, what kind of rule is that. Now I'll have to post here once in month. =/
Way to go.

Thanks Oomph and JJSG. Yo JJSG I hope Bayless is doing good. You should come back to the board man, it's lacking your much needed input.

Thanks Grang33r!

cdash is my vote. JJSG, you're back! The games we are playing are great, we have a new tradition, and JJ is starting at SG all the time. Let's agree that I am a Homer and you can come back and just think I am stupid for saying the Pacers will ever win in Boston.
I will take partial blame for the off-topic stuff on the other thread. Yeah... My bad.
Also, thank you for the votes. I don't want to jinx it, so I want go any further than that.

Your vote wouldn't have counted unless you explained it anyway.

Haha I missed you guys too..so much has happened to me- I found a basketball statistics message board, I got a question answered in a ESPN chat, I almost got thrown out of a Spurs board for arguing about the value of Malik Hairston over Pops Mensah-Bonsu (who looks to be released tonight, we should get him, he's a great rangy 3-4, he will make Pacer games so fun to watch, just watch his highlights against the Cavs).
I went into a Dallas board and found their opinion of Rick (not to good).
Its been a hell of a time, but my home is here. I wanna be back soon. Maybe on spring break, which is a week from now.
Rest in Peace, Pacerfan

If it is true and JJSG does come back soon then the Pacers won't lose anymore games the rest of the year, guaranteed good luck charm!
Seriously though, there have been like 2 or 3 games chats where I was talking to myself. We need your feedback to for when we win and think we're awesome to remind us that we aren't all that awesome and when we lose we aren't the worst team in the league. You're like the shrink for our bi-polar Pacer moods. I must say, Rush has gotten some confidence and improved, particularly since Granger's injury. Now I am sure he is the next Reggie, or the white mans Larry Bird. Huh?

He may be getting better, but I think you are asking the impossible from him there. I think he'll turn out to be a starting 2 guard eventually, maybe a 2-3, but he won't be a star and he won't be that good. I see maybe a rich man version' of willie green or a worse version of eddie jones. I just wish we sent him to the d-league eariler so he could have gained a lot of confidence or something.
I'm a roll lately, I said we'd have a winning record with Granger out and we'd magically make the playoffs now for no good reason. Hopefully what I said comes true.
Rest in Peace, Pacerfan

Yeah, I don't know what I expect out of Rush, yet. Most teams overvalue their rookies. I don't think he is the next Reggie, and I can't really think of a good comparison, yet. And voting isn't over, if I'm not mistaken, for poster of the month. TJsGod could still win it.
I should really use green font more often, but what's the fun in that.

Haha yes...poor TJFIG..he's been hammered while I was away..even when TJ had a great games. =/
Speaking of which do you guys finally believe me when I say that JJ is an SG and that he isn't that good defensively? The reason we play off the ball so much is because of the lack of quickness from guys like Dunleavy, Jack, and Murphy.

Re: Pacer Post of the Month - February 2009
He has played well lately starting at SG, and when he guards someone quick, well, he doesn't do much guarding. I thought he has been overrated defensively. I still wouldn't say he is a SG, but a combo guard, or as I call it, a bi-guard, going to both guard positions.

Re: Pacer Post of the Month - February 2009
It's improving. In February he was 20-46 (43.5%) for 3s in 13 games and 3 for 6 last night. He has actually hit a couple big 3s late in games lately. Last night against Denver he hit a big 3 late in the game. His February numbers have been a loooot better from deep then the previous months/career, hopefully he can keep it up. Honestly I don't know how he has been shooting the 14-19 footers, but in February he shot just below 50% from the field, about 5% better than his season average.

Yeah, the way Jack has been shooting and dishing without Granger and Dunleavy, he looks like Jameer Nelson. The reason the guys he defends tend to torch him is because they usually have 3-4 inches on him.

Re: Pacer Post of the Month - February 2009
It's always been known that he can hit his three's at around 35%, but his midrange jumper is really poor. =/
Yeah he is losing a lot of height on other players, but pay attention to his lateral quickness last game. I've been paying very close attention to jack to try to convince myself that he's worth resigning..he might be slower than Rasho in lateral quickness.
if we can get rid of Jack for Ariza and a shotblocking big we'll be set.
