Lot of trades, none of which are reasonable.
Michael Johnson will go closer to the 4th than the 1st.

Re: FattLipp's mock ver 4.0
I think you need to give up on Peppers, there's no realistic chance of him coming here. I don't see us cutting Wynn, the front office and coaching staff are real high on him right now, and he finished last year on a high note, despite his best game coming against Detroit. Don't want anything to do with Micheal Johnson.

I'm fine with Michael Johnson, just with our second third rounder.

Re: FattLipp's mock ver 4.0
I'd be willing to give him a shot at the bottom of the third, preferably fourth if he's around. Even then, I still may look at what else is available. Theres no doubt he's gifted, but the guy only shows up for a few plays a game.

There moved Johnson down, got Beaaty instead of Meredith, and solidfied chances of getting Gilbert.

Re: FattLipp's mock ver 4.0
Why don't you do a mock without all the trades?
Even the one with the best chance of happening is still remote because it means the Packers are giving Detroit a shot at a franchise QB.
Also, you even have the Packers cutting or releasing Bush, Kuhn, Hunter and Martin even though they were each given $1 million dollar tenders. Maybe they sign with other teams and the Packers don't match, but you're cutting a lot of guys that will come extremely cheap.
I'd be curious to see where you think the Packers might go without all the over the top moves.

How many trades has Thompson made for players since becoming GM?
Besides trading for Grant and pawning off Williams to the Browns for a 2nd rounder, i'm coming up blank. He also avoids free agency for the most part, yet you have him making three trades and four free agent signings.

Re: FattLipp's mock ver 4.0
No trades may be "boring," but it's more realistic. Until we start to hear more concrete rumors about who will be swapping picks, it's all just a guessing game. More of a fantasy offseason than a mock draft, I guess. I think that's maybe what DB was getting at.
