I think he means the one the Cavs are interested in signing.

gremz: I think I might agree with all of those, touche. But I think he actually meant the biggest free agents in cricket. What will Darren Gough do? Can he recover from the serious knee injury? BJ Haddin and CJ Ferguson are having good years.
Okay, I just googled cricket into ESPN and looked at what I think would be considered the box score. I am so confused. There is bowling, wickets, and "runs". Oh wait, I think I understand runs.
New Zealand is targeted to have 156 runs from 20 overs and Australia innings 22 over maximum.
Whoa, hott chicks really CAN make you do anything. That gamethread had some hidden persuasion (my brain is dead and I can't think of what the word is. Another John Madden moment.)

Re: The suprise
Sorry, I always lead the topic to something completely different, so let me fix it.
I would really like to get Millsap, but I think he will get a lot of money. He has been playing well, but in my opinion he is one of those guys that could get a lot of money and not earn all of it. I wonder if the economy will have an effect on the salaries? I don't think so, especially since there is already a salary cap/max contracts and it doesn't look to have affected baseball (well maybe it has and the Yankees crap money).
I think Kobe has a player option. I wonder if he will opt-out and sign a long-term deal. OR I wonder if he will opt-out and sign a 1-year deal and then sign with the Knicks in 2010 with Lebron!
Bibby, Kidd, AI, Sheed, Artest (go get um, Pacers!), Marion, and Boozer are all unrestricted free agents. I think they all could possibly go other places. I wonder if a lot of teams won't be spending this off-season to save for 2010?
The unrestricted free agents I like are Millsap and David Lee. I just don't see the Knicks adding salary before 2010 because of all the salary they have gotten rid of, but I could be wrong. I think Millsap will be offered a lot and the Jazz will sign him and let Boozer go.
I want Juan Dixon! Mainly just because he is a Maryland Terrapin. If Marquis is gone (probably), I wouldn't mind getting Dixon as a back-up everything. It seems like he can play the 1, 2, or 3. He could be a cheaper version of Marquis.
Sorry, another sidenote, I am an ass (that's not the sidenote), but whatever happened to The Levetator Melvin Levett? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qk9Axy6NdE

Re: The suprise
It's Drew Gooden.
However, I noticed Stromile Swift got waived today too. He'd be a nice acquisition for the bench the rest of the season I think, although it's unlikely we sign him.

You don't have Free Agents in cricket. Players simply play for their club or state sides (no one really cares about this) to vouch for National selection.
Also, Darren Gough retired in September, 2008.

I've gotten you hooked and you don't even know it.
New Zealand is targeted to have 156 runs from 20 overs and Australia innings 22 over maximum.
And What a game it was.

Don't cover for it. Deep down you know you have a secret fascination with it.

If we can get Gooden I would be so happy. He would be a good fit on our team. We're desperately in the need of a PF that can play with their back to the basket

Re: The suprise
The lead article on RealGM.com last night about the mystery player. It indicated that the Cavaliers might wait on Joe Smith because a mystery forward could become available.
Joe Smith and Drew Gooden will probably sign with contenders. I could see Swift or Head going to wherever offers the most playing time however.

Re: The suprise
Seems to be a trend of teams buying out guys in the last yr of their contracts to save a few bucks.

Re: The suprise
OK gremz, I am starting to kind of understand and accept cricket. At first I thought players would be kind of like soccer when you sell them to other teams instead of the soccer that is like the world cup and you play for your country or what not.
And Darren Gough was great while he lasted. He is the cricket's Barry Bonds (I have no idea who he is/what he actually accomplished).
Have cricket players ever been found to take performance-enhancing drugs?

Gough was more like the Jonathan Bender of cricket, minus the tremendous upside.
Drugs? I actually think the International Cricket Board don't really care. It might actually make the game more interesting.

My sources indicate that Swift is going to the Suns
Rest in Peace, Pacerfan
