Possible Mem/Minn Trade?

Post#1 » by MINNY4LYFE » Tue Mar 3, 2009 1:59 am

Hey Grizz fans, me and a buddy of mine (Griz fan) were discussing possible trades and thought one might be legit. If we (wovles) get #1 pick, draft Blake Griffin. WIth yalls 1st pick, select Ricky Rubio. In a trade, ship Rudy Gay+Ricky Rubio to the wolves in return for Blake Griffin+Craig Smith (other players could be placed here). Would you do that?

Hmmm.... Two core players for one? HELL NO! Heisley didn't trade Gay for Stoudemire, so why would he trade Gay AND Rubio for a player that is by no means a sure thing. It doesn't make sense, and it won't happen.

If the Grizzlies draft Rubio, then Mike Conley is the guy they will look into trading, not Rubio. So if the T'wolves want Conley, then we can start takling.

It's an overwhelming concensus that Grizzly fans hate Rudy Gay. Craig Smith>Warrick obv, so it would be an even trade. Why, if you were to draft Rubio, would you not have already and tried to trade Conley if he wasn't gonna be there longterm? He's the franchise PG of Memphis, alongside Gasol and Mayo. Even tradeaments obv

That's incorrect. Maybe you got that info on a message board or two - but it's just not based in fact.

Look, just because a trade works in the check and overwhelmingly favors your franchise doesn't mean it's going to happen.

You know I am always suspicious of a poster with a very low count who has an idea not rooted in reality.

It's an overwhelming "concensus" that Twolves fans hate Al Jefferson. So trade him to the Grizz in a clearly lopsided deal. "Even tradeaments obv"

If you had anyone worth getting for Jefferson, talk to the GM's and get something goin. Only person anyone would think about getting is Mayo and that's obv locked up. GG

But but but, it's an overwhelming "concensus" that Twolves hate him!

I guess the real statement I was making in my post flew way over your head.

I woudn´t trade Ricky for Griffin straigth up.

Only who saw Ricky in a regular basis know what he is capable to do. This kid is for real! And he´s born 1991! Heck, I don´t even know someone born in 91!

Yeah i dont know why would Mem include Rudy when Rubio has as much value as Griffin.
