Rumour:

Boston has offered the following package in exchange for Kaberle:

Colborne, First round pick, 3rd round pick

Are you a boston fan? Or are you just saying they would be sick.

Not sure if you referred to this earlier:

This writer thinks Boston and Anaheim agreed in principle to trade Pronger.

I didn't have the link, thanks. Yeah, conflicting reports, espn sais they have stopped talking, but espn sucks. Eklund hasn't heard anything, but he sucks too, who knows. If that is the deal though and the ANH GM is even thinking about, Chia should offer his wife up for the night. Never been a huge fan of Stuart, and Boston fans weren't even that excited when they drafted Joe Colbourne.

I don't know if you knew this, but Burke and Chia sat next to each other a few games ago. Toronto wasn't even playing boston.

Would you like that deal as a Toronto fan?

I love Colborne as a player, but I think I'd hold out for more until the deadline approaches. If that's the rumoured offer NOW, it'll likely go up once Wednesday hits.

I do think we could get more in return. However, if Burke pulled the trigger (meaning it was the best offer he received), I wouldn't be upset. We need to get the rebuild under way, and Colborne and a first would be excellent additions.

Toronto gets swept all over the floor if they take that deal for Kaberle. All the Kaberle to Boston rumors I've seen so far have been in Boston's favor, big time. Makes me hope Gainey pulls something out of his sleeve.

I read one that had Moore and Kaberle to Boston for two 1sts and a prospect. Highway robbery.

I think it would be amazing to see Chara and Pronger together, especially on such an exciting team like Boston. Could be one of the best playoff teams put together. . . . but at the same time, if Bos could get J Bo or Kaberle for cheaper. . . i would take it for sure.

They just need to add some talent and depth to the blue line. They are such a good team, and a good team to watch. . .they dont need to swing for the fences here and try to land a Pronger. I would have to think that a fall back plan of J-Bo or Kablerle looks pretty good to any GM out there

If Boston gets Pronger then they become the Cup favorite in my mind.

Pronger to Boston is unlikely in my opinion.

Kaberle seems more practical. Plus Kaberle has a great relationship with Savard. I remember at the playoffs, both of them were always around each other talking.

Yeah I'm not getting too excited for a big defender, I got all excited over Hossa last year and look how that worked out.

First of hopefully many deals happens, Devils trade for Niclas Havelid:

Good pick up for New Jersey.

Yeah I'm not keeping my hopes up for any big time deals with the Habs. I would imagine Dandy gets shipped off for a 4th or something, but that's it.

Could make a play for Gaborik too. He's injured so he's way cheaper at the moment than he'll ever be. I think Minny's looking at whatever they can get for him.

Capitals are in the hunt for Derrick Morris. Only thing stopping us from getting him or Guerin is Nylanders no movement clause.

Ughhh I hate Nylander.

Anyone know what time is the deadline, I always thought it was at 3. But I heard 6, can anyone confirm either?

They ofter have deals done RIGHT at the deadline though so the deals sometimes keep going through til like 4 or 5. Depends on how last minute people wait.

Just read reports about that link I supplied about Pronger. The unnamed roster player is Patrice Bergeron.

Not taking anything away from Kaberle, who I think Burke should keep, but Boston should go for Pronger. The guy is a beast, is signed next year, also like Kaberle and has a ton of playoff experience and has a cup. I believe he is the main reason Anaheim won the cup.

Anyway, should be a fun deadline. I will be watching TSN on my computer.

I don't expect the Pens to make anymore bigger deals then the Kunitz trade, which has been great so far. But then again, I didn't expect to get Hossa for crap.

FYI, I believe the NHL Network is free for most cable subscribers this week

A little bit of school, a little bit of work, a little bit of technical difficulties with my computer, and a little bit of lazyness is why you haven't seen me around lately.

anyways I'll try to update this thread with any deals i hear as well
