Request to stop trying to morph McGrady's name

T-Wack, T-Crack, McLady, McLazy, McBaby, T-Stupid (haven't seen it but it's appropriately dumb), etc.

They aren't witty.

Think in terms of it being between "I'll shine your head for a quarter" jokes to a bald man and "I just flew into New Jersey and boy are my arms tired!" on the humor scale. It's painfully bad, to the point of making Kenny Smith seem funny.

I'm going to go ahead and concur with moofybear. I think the only nickname for a Rockets player that is suitable, IMO, is Suga Shane Batttier because it's got a sexy ring to it and he's the greatest player of all time not named Olajuwon.

smapor, in a way yes, in another way, pointing out that something is dumb and gratingly annoying should, in theory, help *some* people realize that they aren't being clever or derogatory of their target, which is their intent. Some people will never get it, others might, in which case the problem is reduced. Hey! It's possible their target audience is other people who post similarly ill-contrived and mundane insults, in which case I guess they haven't failed after all!

I seriously doubt people use versions of "tmac" to make you laugh or wow you with their creativity/wit. If you want these boards to conform, should we not even use "tmac" anymore? Should we just refer to every player by their proper names? Tracy or McGrady....or Tracy McGrady....only from now on.

If people find that I call Aaron Brooks....AB, corny or "stupid" should I stop that too? I think the point of a conversation or post is so other people can understand the point you're trying to get across.
