Chargers looking to move Cromartie

Post#1 » by jakecronus8 » Tue Mar 3, 2009 4:34 pm

Just read they might be looking to move him. My question is, for all those that would take Jenkins at 9 if he is there (myself included), would you trade #9 for Cromartie? I don't know why SD would want to move him, but I would have to do it. I know he had a bad year, but he was pretty much injured the whole year, and IMO is one of the elite talents at CB in the NFL. Add in the fact that he is a threat to score every time he touches the ball and it makes it a no brainer for me. Maybe SD would take Al Harris and a second instead.

Big no to the number 9 overall pick.

I would give the Chargers a 2nd round pick and maybe another late round pick at most, and I highly doubt TT gives that much up.

Chargers probably wouldnt want Harris. They probably would want our first to draft Jenkins or Davis.

If Jennings isn't signed by draft day I'd look into a Cromartie/Jennings swap.

Jennings, to me, is the biggest issue of the off season. Thompson has to get him locked up and if he can't, move him.

As for why Cromartie may be on the block, it's because Cason is ready to step in and start, they feel like they can land Drayton Florence in free agency and Jammer is locked up long term on the cheap. Cromartie didn't have the greatest year, either.

No way Cromartie is worth a first round pick. And I'd overpay Jennings before I traded him for Cromartie straight up.
