Good. Now all the Joe Smith topics can go in the trash can along with all the Antoine Walker topics.

Wel, now we can concentrate on getting our chemistry/desire back for the playoffs---as soon as KG gets back that is.

Re: OT:Joe Smith to Cleveland DONE
I realize (and hope) that all this Toine talk is all garbage and sarcasm. I think we'll be fine the next couple weeks w/o scal and KG. It will give Moore a chance to find his niche and gel with the guys. As long as we continue to stay within distance of Cleveland, I think we can have a shot to finish strong with KG coming back, Marbury and Moore getting used to playing with us, and everyone getting into groove with each other as the season progresses.
LETS GO CELTICS!!!!!!!

Gee what a surprise, Smith to CLE...he knew from day 1 it's what he was going to do...this was just McDyess the Sequel...
Ah well! Bring it on, CLE!

Re: OT:Joe Smith to Cleveland DONE
As far as Fatoine and BBD having the same body, BBD already knows how to use his body better than Fatoine ever could. I used to get nauseas watching Fatoine throw all those up fakes and then missing the bunny. BBD doesn't have to do that he uses his body to create space. Now, BBD will never been an all star then again should Faoine ever been one?

^^^ Come on now. Walker was a much better rebounder of BBD. Isn't that an effective use of his body?! Walker averaged 10 rebounds a game one season.

I don't think Antoine was as good a rebounder as everyone thought, at least not in his later days. I just remember that a lot of his rebounds came off of his own misses around the basket and he missed A LOT of layups. But I agree that Walker did know how to use his body well. In his later days, not so much. Not sure what happened to change that, but he just wasn't as effective in his later years.
I'm still puzzled as to how Antoine's game deteriorated so quickly. The guy is only 32 years old and he's been done for a couple of years now. Sad, because I really liked Antoine.

Re: OT:Joe Smith to Cleveland DONE
Antoine vs BBD...is this a joke? BBD is not nearly as good as Antoine was during his best years...Antoine could dribble, shoot, pass, rebound...OK so some of his decision making was not great but look at those **** TERRIBLE teams he was on...who else was going to do it?
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Not saying it's not true, but...
Has there been a single piece of evidence or even speculation in the media that Cleveland was ever his first choice?
Every single rumor I've seen has said that he wanted to come to Boston and that we were no longer interested after signing Mikki Moore. I haven't seen a single bit of speculation that even suggests that Cleveland was anything but his 2nd choice.

Re: OT:Joe Smith to Cleveland DONE
Pundits and fans were saying he'd go to CLE a MONTH before the deadline...
If it wasn't an inside job, we have a lot of pretty clairvoyant people in this country!

Re: OT:Joe Smith to Cleveland DONE
I knew Cleveland was the favorite... at least Danny didn't pray for Smith and actually went out and got something (Mikki Moore). Moore isn't the first choice, but he is better than nothing and helps out our current lack of depth situation at the PF/C postion.

Re: OT:Joe Smith to Cleveland DONE
Smith to the Cavs was a done deal as soon as Smith asked for a buy out. That was some bull **** because when we wanted him, he was talking about how happy he was with the Thunder. Smith never wanted to come to Boston, he was waiting for the Vacs to show interest. Soon as Ben Wallce got hurt, I had a feeling Joe was heading to Cleveland.
This now makes the Cavs the favorites IMO. But anything can happen in the playoffs.
