Videos of the best of the old school players

Post#1 » by hands11 » Thu Jan 22, 2009 7:11 am

It really is amazing that we can just type in a name on a web page and see highlights of all these plays.

Used to be, if you didn't save it on a video tape, you would never see it again useless someone did a sports special on it. Actually, I still have tons of old tapes of the Skins, MJ, old Wizards games.

Anyway, we have been referring to some older players like Hakeen. Check this out.

Jabbar was just amazing.

The sky hook from 10-15 foot. Even with the left hand.

This is what Phil is getting at a lot of the time. I couldn't imagine a player today being that polished.

There could be a lot of factors involved. Less teams. Players stayed on the same team more often. More hungry for money. But it is cool to go back and see how awesome a player can be.

These were amazing games. I don't know if you will ever see talent like that on the same court again.

Lakers - Celtics

Jabber is 38 and 7-2 and bring the ball up court.

magic Johnson. Listen all the way till the end. I had forgotten about this. He filled in for Jabber at center one game. LOL. That's crazy.

I loved Joe D: http://pistons.fandome.com/video/74715/ ... ighlights/

I can't believe it's been twenty years since he was Finals MVP.

The vid badly needs an editor and a better soundtrack, but this guy was just awesome. Sort of the the Art Monk of his day.

I was looking for the reverse dunk JaVale did last night against ATL. That was sick.
