quick question.. Boston had about $2.4 million of its MLE left. We've established in the past, that if they gave Marbury $1.2 million of it at this point, then he gets paid $1.2 million AND that's what counts against the cap.
However, if boston had used $3 million of its MLE, does the remaining amount begin prorating on January 10th or is it just the full MLE amount? i.e. if Boston hasn't used the MLE, I understand that the full number decreases everyday past January 10th. But what if they have used part of it... does the remaining amount prorate too or just the full amount (which means the remaining amount wont begin to prorate until it actually eats into that amount they have left).
My belief is that the remaining amount doesn't prorate, but I wanted to check and make sure. Thanks

It is my understanding that any unused portion of the MLE is reduced in value starting January 10, using the same formula that is used on the MLE as a whole.
