Some stats since Kg's been out

Post#1 » by Datruth345 » Wed Mar 4, 2009 5:05 pm

I was bored/procrastinating, so i decided to see how our guys were playing since KG's been out
i didn't originally intend to post it, but figured someone else might find it interesting too
i just took their avg's per game since his absence and compared that to their season avgs.
not too scientific, but you can draw some basic conclusions from it

i have more to post, my analysis of the individual numbers and some team statistics as well, but i simply can't procrastinate any longer

enjoy

Yea, Perk is struggling and it is expected.
actually even bigbaby and powe numbers are expected.
Paul 3pt shooting could be b/c of his finger and the fact that the defense is concentrating more on him.

is 3 point shooting has been off prior to his injury. he has been cold from beyond the ark for about a month now.

Is Pierce having a 35% three point percentage really that bad? It's still better than Kobe.

Our defense has been noticeably poor.

It's really starting to bug me.

Datruth345

Interesting post, nice work.

This thread got me thinking a little. During the 6 games without KG this is what this team has done.

Opp FG% 45% +2%
Own FG% 53% +4%

Opp PPG 98.6 +6
Own PPG 107.8 +6

Scoring Dif 9.2 ppg +0.1

Things are certainly different with Garnett out but the results are a bit surprising. Some of it was obviously the opponents but we absolutely have held our ground and even played better without Garnett. Hopefully we cap it with wins on Friday and Sunday get his ass back in there.
