Who scares you in the postseason???

I'm taking an unscientific poll of all possible WC playoff teams. Who would you hate to see your team draw in the first round (if you make it) and why? Are some teams just too good? Do you match up bad with some teams? Who scares you . . .

As a Blazer fan these are teams I'd love to avoid (top being the most scary). *Note - I'm copying this word for word on all 9 teams forums. I'm not trying to flame anyone!

1. Spurs - too good for us, too experienced, and we've yet to play them when they're at full strength.
2. Lakers - they'd probably win - especially with home court - but I'd rather watch the LA/PDX rivalry get reborn than a slow, boring, sobering series with SA.
3. Rockets - just a bad match-up for us and I really don't want to watch Artest going at Roy for a whole series.
4. Mavs - Same as Rockets, bad match-up. Kidd would abuse Blake and Sergio.
5. Hornets - I'd love to beat these guys, but they have us in the experience category, they have an MVP caliber PG, and David West plays great against us. This is probably the team I would hate to lose to the most and we are definitely capable of losing to them.
6. Jazz - I think we could beat Utah, especially if we had homecourt. And if we do play them it will have that rivalry feel, Roy could end all that "better/worse than Deron" talk once and for all, and if we did knock them out of the playoffs it would be extreeeeemely satisfying.
7. Suns - No Amare, no problem. Shaq is playing out of his mind right now, but with a healthy Oden this would be a very fun series!
8. Nuggets - The only thing that worries me about this matchup is Chauncey's playoff experience. Luckily I think we are a much better team and we can make Chauncey a non-factor. Mostly I just think we are better than them, period.

Who are you guys scared of in the playoffs?

The suns can beat the mavs, rockets, nuggets and blazers in the playoffs. They will probably struggle with the jazz and hornets but can probably beat them, if they get the calls. I don’t see them beating either the spurs or Lakers. The NBA [stern] is so rigged that I can see a Kobe vs. Lebron finals.

No one. Mainly because we aren't even going to make the playoffs, so why should I be afraid of a team we're never going to play?

We have to get there first

Any team with:

a) A decent PG who can score
b) Some athleticism
c) a bench
d) Perimeter scorers

So POR is the only team that doesn't overly scare me...HOU I think we can beat as well. UTA, LAL, SA are the teams I wouldn't want to face...DEN I think we'd give a decent crack at, same goes for NOR and DAL

We are really in a big mess right now, no future to build around because we sold all of it on craigslist. This coming draft is probably the worst in history.

If they're at full strength, we got zero chances at beating the Hornets or Spurs in a 7 game series, so they're @ the top of the list. Quick PGs that penetrate like CP3/Parker, paired up w/ PFs with well rounded offensive and defensive games like TD/West and a solid supporting cast = impossible to beat.
Manu, Duncan, Gooden, David West, Tyson Chandler are all big injury risks tho.

Lakers would be heavy favorites agaisnt us obviously, but we matchup against em better then against SanAN/NO, so they're less "scary".

We'd have our chances against all the other teams, alltho the healthy Jazz/Nugz would be crazy hard to beat.

I'm most scared of Sarver and Kerr in the post-season, even if we make the playoffs.

im not too confident because our backcourt can't play any D whatsoever. My list

SA
NO
Lakers
Utah
and then portland, Den and houston are all about the same level. Chancey is good, but to me, I am more affraid of the better pgs like CPS, TP, and D will. fish is just a flopper and a spot up 3 shooter.

I know some say he is not coming back, but if he does after the 8 weeks, I think the suns have the talent to make a run. but I am not confident the players can put it together.
