Hey Bosh, Howard and SVG how does Shaq's ass taste?

Post#1 » by MaryvalesFinest » Thu Mar 5, 2009 3:36 am

A new article came out about Shaq just now. I don't know about you guys but Shaq deserves to say what ever he wants, he has four championship rings to back it up and is going to go down as an NBA legend when he retires. I know the same thing can happen when he leaves the Suns but Shaq is an entertainer and if he ever talks smack about the Suns we all know to laugh it off but this is just pure gold right here.

Yeah he's funny SOMETIMES. But he's crossed the line I think with the Van Gundy stuff...

He's going to SLAY Amare and Nash and Porter when he goes I think...

Shaq and SVG never got along in Miami so I think Shaq is just letting it all out now. I don't think he will say much about the Suns considering he was only here for a short time if he's traded this summer or when his contract is up and even if he does we all know Shaq is an entertainer and just to laugh it off.

There's also more to the interview

Crossed what line? Shaq was right on the money. Stan Van Dummy totally quit on his team! Then came back to coaching soon after!

And what has Jeff Van Dummy ever done? He's terribly overrated with emphasis on terribly. Extremely boring offensive 'philosophy' and extremely poor use of talent.

Here's a couple of lowlights from the team leaders in minutes played during Stromile Swift's lone season in Houston:

David Wesley
Juwan Howard

I'll never forget the time when Jeff Van Dummy decided it would be a good idea to let David Wesley defend Carmelo Anthony for his last second shot, instead of using Stromile Swift. Anthony easily shot up and over him FTW

Ya seriously, they loved him in Miami (besides Shaq cause SVG put him in his place) But DWade loved him, Rafer Alston was excited about getting to play with him again after the trade, Keyon Dooling loved it when he came here while he was here, and Dwight loves him (you can bet your a** if he didn't he would let mngmt know about it). Pat Riley wanted to coach again, that's what happened. It makes no sense to say Stan gave up when the going got tuff cause he was really in a good situation with them. Shaq obviously was upset after flopping accusations so he get defensive, the ultimate sign of weakness...

I actually heard SVG could not get his players to listen to him anymore. The joke here is Damu. Go get a life and get over this little petite stuff. Shaq is stupid to say what he has and he needs to let it all out on the court. Let his game do the speaking. The big flopper did it once, that’s right, once. Who cares. Get over it you immature magic fan.

Pippen is one of the all time greats but what does he have to do with any of this?

All Stan did was call him out on flopping WHICH HE DID! Stan took no personal attacks, he didn't make up any sh*t about how his teammates and coaches hate him, he didn't doubt his abilities and skills. Shaq obvioulsy knew he flopped and got defensive and blew it up way way out of proportion. All Shaq does is talk sh*t and then he cries like a little baby when someone calls him out on a poor play that HE DID. You guys wont be laughing when he talks sh*t about Amare and Nash when he leaves you guys with no ring, trust me it wont have anything to do with him, it'll just be the same "my teammates and coach gave up on me, no ones ever done what I've done, they can't talk about me." Shaq's a cocky pos.

I just don't understand why Shaq's so upset. He flopped(something he criticized others for doing for YEARS), and then Van Gundy said, "Hey look, he flopped."

That's IT. What Shaq is doing makes him look petty, and it's somewhat embarrassing as a Suns fan IMo.

He also pointed out how you can't get the call if you don't fall down. Which is right.

Shaquille's outspoken character really makes me optimistic as a Swift fan, because if Swift is able to get Shaquille in his corner, he will have someone who's willing to publicly speak out for him, which his past teammates have never really done, with a few rare exceptions.

You know, I think in our society, things are set up to where most people are afraid to really speak up, and when people do speak up, they are labelled as arrogant and classless. Especially when the outspoken ones are black. I think it's great that Shaquille is willing to speak up.

I've always thought Bosh was a soft player. His defensive performance in Athens was shameful. Ewing was a predictable player, and Shaquille has been more successful than Ewing.

I don't think that we should allow social conditions where coaches, like Stan Van Dummy, are able to take shots at players and not let the players respond in kind since they're just the hired help and the coaches are the boss.

I think it's just a lot of built up animosity he has for SVG. SVG probably knew about it and he was looking for something to attack Shaq with because 37 year old Shaq did a pretty damn good job one the best low post player in the league.

I think Shaq's "tirade" did go for a few paragraphs too long, but I mean, that's Shaq. It's nothing new. He's been doing this for years. He's just going at one guy, remember when he went at the entire "Sacramento Queens" organization.

He does however, look quite petty when he drags his tirade on. Like he's trying to defend his flop, which was pretty blatant. But I think everyone should be given one get-out-of-jail-free card for flopping once, and he just used it. It's mainly the career floppers, Manu, Raja (yeah), Vlade, etc etc, that should really be called out.

I completely agree with you vaj. Seriously, he flopped. Why he can't admit it without going nuts is beyond me. As for SVG "calling him out", I am sure it had something to do with the press asking him the question, but not 100% sure as I never saw the presser.
