couple of things:

1. Texas players notoriously do poorly in the predraft workouts because Rick Barnes doesn't believe in weight training. So a lot of DJ's explosive, strength based potential was underdeveloped at the time of those tests. That said, his vert is higher than Felton's.

2. I know Felton is back to being your flavor of the week, but you're overrating his quickness and underrating DJs. I'll give you that Felton is faster than DJ, but to name guys like Parker, Paul, and Harris that DJ can't stay in front of you seem to be implying that Felton can, while he's not actually shown an ability to do so. Nash was blowing by Felton, for example and he's not really know for his jets. Offensively, I think DJ out of the gate has shown an ability to change his pace at an opportune moment, while Felton has had trouble with this. It's been one of his better improvements this year though.

All very good points but I dont mean Felton can stop those guys because nobody can but on the other side he can blow by those guys. He can blow by people like those guys. The only difference is he can't finish like them but if he could he would be like one of those guys.
DJ does seem slower to me. Maybe well have to agree to disagree on this.
And for the record I love DJ and think he is gonna make an excellent player.

Nash - 4 points, 5 assists, 6 turnovers, and 2-6 shooting in the first meeting.
Humble yourself.

"Steve was hurt. He probably shouldn't have been out there," Hill said. "I know what's it like to try and play when you're hurt. I told him if you're hurt, don't play."

Anyway, whatever, I don't think Nash matters, I was just pinpointing an example of a PG not know for his quickness that Felton had trouble staying in front of. He has a rep for some reason as this awesome defensive player and...it's really not worth getting into.

Felton... he's so hot right now... Felton.

Steve Nash doesn't need "quick"; his awesome court vision compounded with his sick outside shooting and huge BBIQ make him a very tough cover. You play him for the drive and he burns you from outside...try and play him tight he'll rub you off a screen and off to the basket he'll go.

He's still one of the best in the league IMO.

He was hurt during the 1st game too. But we don't necessarily know when/if Felton is nursing an injury either, mainly because i don't think he tells anyone. Bonnell mentioned just the other day he was working thru some ankle injury and I had no idea he was hurt.

Iron man!

Not getting into the DJ/Felton comparison tho nor do I see where it matters; I'm just darn glad to have 2 credible PGs on the roster.

And yeah...I know it's killing ya. Why do you think I'm posting so much in these threads?

Devin Harris
Opponent Counterpart PER = 18.0

Raymond Felton
Opponent Counterpart PER (AT PG) = 13.2

I agree with Spectre, Raymond could have been injured himself. I don't think any would question that he has the highest pain threshold on this team and possibly the entire NBA.
Humble yourself.

^Anomaly, just like Felton's is lower than it's ever been.

Anyway, I think we should hang on to Felton right now, I for one will never forget the McInnis era.
I take exception to a lot of Dexmor's points because they're totally fabricated (injury prone, athletic differences, versatility), but I mean, whatever, it's not worth it. Felton is stronger and larger than DJ and he is an ironman. I've been loving that his shot has been falling lately, but I still think he looks for it too often and he's looked great when he's been on fire before and then fallen back to Earth. I would love for him to turn the corner.

What points of mine are fabricated? Enlighten me. Im open and if I am off you can tell me without it starting a huge fight. If I am wrong about something I want to know it.
