Too much to trade just to get Bosh nearly alone. Pass.

Mayo is pretty much untouchable at this point, so Mayo AND Rudy Gay for Bosh just isn't realistic. I would trade anyone but Mayo on the Grizzlies roster to get Bosh, along with multiple draft picks, but he would have to agree to a long-term extension before I would even consider him.

No. That is a terrible trade for the Grizz.

...did I just read what I thought I read? OJ Mayo in a trade? I laugh whenever I see a trade with OJ because I know everyone in the league is jealous that we have him and I find it funny that no one will EVER get him.

no way!

but maybe something along the lines of:

Darrell Arthur
Darko Milicic
2009 Memphis 1st Rounder
2009 Magic 1st Rounder
2010 Lakers 1rst Rounder

For:

Chris Bosh (Re-signed)
Jason Kapono
Marcus Banks

That would give Toronto a top 5 pick in the draft where they could select a guy like Harden, Al-Farouq Aminu, Hill, or others to fill the glaring needs of the team. Also, they would get a good defensive player in Darko and a young PF on the rise in Arthur to go along with a good set of value picks in the upcoming drafts. Darko is also an expiring contract after next season but could be resigned for cheap. If they drafted well and with a touch of luck they could have a starting 5 of:

C-Milicic
PF-Bargnani
SF-Aminu
SG-Harden
PG-Calderon

Which would be a solid core to build around. It might put them in the lottery the next year but combine that with some good FA signings for backups and you have effectively made a better and more complete Toronto team which would be much younger than the current team.

---
Meanwhile the Grizz get an All-Star PF with good defensive and rebounding capabilities that would become our teams instant leader. He would take lots of pressure off Mayo and Gay to produce and would be surrounded by a much better cast of starters overall. He would also give us much needed big game experience and some star power in the city which could go a long way. Re-sign Warrick and Ross along with drafting a player like Jerome Jordan from Tulsa in Round two of the draft, maybe sign and you would have:

C-Gasol/Jordan/Haddadi
PF-Bosh//Warrick
SF-Gay/Kapono
SG-Mayo/Ross/Buckner
PG-Conley/Banks/Jaric

Which would be a mid range defensive team but a nice high scoring team that would be very young still.
