Boozer Deal

Post#1 » by drivewayball » Thu Mar 5, 2009 1:13 pm

Excuse me if this has already been discussed at some point. I read on ESPN insider that a Boozer for Artest and Scola deal was discussed at the deadline. I'm not sure which team initiated that discussion. What do forum contributors think of that?

Boozer has become a jump shooter pretty much and is a defensive liability if hes not rebounding well

I was against the trade simply because Boozer has an expiring contract. Why trade your better assets for someone you can't afford to keep in the future?

If it was really serious any chance died when McGrady pulled the plug on his season.
If the Rockets had a legit 2 guard,I prob would have done the deal. Boozer would have addressed one of the crucial flaws on the Rockets-rebounding and he would space the floor better w/his shooting.
The deciding thing for me would be if I think I could find an adequate Scola replacement this summer should Boozer walk.

We're not a good fit for Boozer anyways. Our owner isn't blind.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Boozer probably wouldn't have the same impact without Deron anyway
